In a little more detail...
Just a lambda user willing to help
Love it Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I hate having flash animations (of which 80% are useless and annoying) loading using my bandwidth and autostarting.
This is a fine extension for add killing.
It is easy to configure and to use.
Well done !
So fine it should be integrated to FF4 Rated 5 out of 5 stars
That's a really good idea.
It should be integrated to FF4 in a feature behaving as the password manager.
Could be a good idea but not enough parameters Rated 1 out of 5 stars
The idea is fine but a better idea would be to use FF's search engines toolbar that is already thought for this. This would avoid to add another extension and clutter some more of available space.
So bad one can't add dictionaries as I need about 20 others.
Please, consider developing search engines for useful dictionaries.
Just fine Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Maybe my favorite add-on.
Simple, neat, efficient and does just what a download manager should do.
Fine, usefull, please fix the password reminding option Rated 3 out of 5 stars
A really good idea (it indeed is as it is exactly what I was thinking would be a good idea ;- ...), simple and efficient for those who want to be able to find their bookmarks from the different computers that they use. Combined with Netvibes, I don't need to use Firefox's marvelous built-in features for bookmarking, tagging and so on, which still are (sooo bad) linked to the installed soft (for FF4, think about it...) and have to be parametered on every machine one uses.
Well, for sure, you have to give up some of your privacy and to entrust a bit of your life to an unknown server owned by whoever it can be with whatever dark designs (better be a paranoiac than a victim...). I would find it more reassuring if the service was hosted by Mozilla for example (please, come on, do it for FF4...) so I don't store "touchy" personal links in startaid.
I had some bugs at the beginning (especially at syncing my FFX bookmarks to Startaid) but with 1 hour of manual fixing, everything is now OK ... except that startaid won't remember my password and autoconnect (and, for those who would like to help, I have ticked the "remember my password option", I may be often kind of scatterbrain but not that much).
Thanks for this add-on and please, Firefox developers, integrate it to the next build.
So 5 stars for the idea, minus one for bugs, minus one for privacy
