Does exactly what it says - restores the behaviour that used to be the norm. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.7).
I have contacts in Gmail. I want them in TB - not synced, just a copy across from my contacts in Gmail, (which is copied every once in a while on my Android phone from my work (Exchange) because work is where I need to keep and maintain my contacts. My head hurts just typing about it.
Finally a Thunderbird extension that copies *all* items, and they're all readable. Some issues with addresses not coming across, but after so long of manual exports/imports, and extensions that only copy half of my contacts, I can definitely live with it (and it's quite possibly something that I'm doing :)
Love this plugin - it has single-handedly increased my productivity at work quite significantly (I block the time sucking sites for the first 2 hours of my day that I used to access first thing in morning - and would essentially kill my entire day).
Would love to see the default block screen note when the relevant block expires.
A must have for anyone who frequently adds RSS feeds for a site, but doesn't want to take up space with the always there RSS button outside of the location bar in FF4.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.6).
I also used Xmarks (although I used my own server as I preferred not having my bookmarks visible via the web).
Since I wasn't using the Xmarks *service*, I can't make a comparison between it and Firefox Sync - however I can say that a lot (most) of the negative comments about FFS are rubbish. It's not perfect (personally I'd like to be able to see a lot more information about sync), but it's FAR from the piece of rubbish that people are implying. I'm successfully syncing my bookmarks (albeit only between 2 computers). It autosyncs on startup, I can sync on demand by clicking the icon in the bottom right, and it's non-intrusive. It also syncs all of my bookmarks (including my bookmarks toolbar). I've run several tests as I initially wasn't convinced it was doing it's job properly, but I found that it was - and well.
Yes I'd like a little more control, but it's a damn good plugin.
No, it's not Xmarks.. Where does it say that it's supposed to be? I understand people mourning the loss of Xmarks - but don't rubbish another plugin simply because it's different.
Absolutely awesome. It may seem like a small thing, but this plugin has just saved me hours by allowing me to paste a formatted table into Excel and then sort using my own choice of criteria. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2).
Awesome.. I can't vouch for the "Delete Junk" function, but the Purge function does exactly what it's supposed to.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4).
Exactly what I need, and have never had any issues with it.. It may only save me a few seconds each time I use it, but it saves me from getting annoyed at that extra mouseclick every time..
The options listed in Stoyan's comment do not have "exactly the same effect" as this addon.. Granted they do a similar thing, however this addon is more suitable for people who like to be in control.. I want to see my downloads when they're happening, and want the list cleared when I say so - It's only after I've finishing downloading (especially if I'm downloading a few things at once) that I want the list cleared.
Looking forward to the FF3 version..
