I have tried the different settings for RefreshBlocker and I find this extension simply does not consistently work. I even wrote a polite and complimentary note to the author, and for that effort I did not even receive the courtesy of a reply.
For an example try it on www.nytimes.com and see the result. The result will be nothing but page loads as they site desires. I could give dozens more, but if you want a reliable test, use that site for testing.
If you have had better luck with RefreshBlocker please write a review and provide some details so I can see why this extension is worth having. In previous versions it put a yellow band across the top of the window, but it also did not always block refreshes.
Consider me - wishing for a good refresh blocker, one where I can even define the specific action on a site-by-site basis.
This plug in works on very few sites. The author apparently does not support it as there is simply no way to get things troubleshot. I can supply a list of links to sites where this plug in does nothing. IF it worked this would rank right up there with Ad-Block Plus, but it doesn't.
If someone would take this idea and figure out how to make it actually work, I would be happy to help test it. While it may have been great at some point, basically RefreshBlocker is worthless in its current form.
