Weird Behavior after Crash Rated 3 out of 5 stars
So after a few months I've had a system crash with Firefox on and only add-on that lost something (it's whitelist) is Blacken. And I think to myself, it's ok, now that I've learned from previous experience and exported a few backups of whitelist. So I tried to import backup of whitelist made by Blacken and it just won't do it anymore, but it did it before the crash with no problems.?
It still can add new items to whitelist. Export is still working, but import doesn't work anymore, neither of newly or older exported items.
I can't believe I'll have to do it all manually again, although I have exported backup. :( What is going on with it?
Easier way to add sites to whitelist or blacklist? Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Right now what I have to do is go to Addons, Blacken and click on Sites option to get to my whitelist, to be able to add a site there. And it's really tedious chore.
I've even tried to bookmark link to whitelist "resource://09826eb2-625f-4909-a08f-9aff630abac3/data/whitelists.html", to make it easier. But this way it doesn't load it rightly, it just load blank blacklist/whitelist.
It would be very useful to add a menu and shortcut for loading blacklist/whitelist, if it's possible. Or am I missing something?
It suddenly lost all my "do only this" sites :( Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Very good and unique addon. Thanks! I know It was my fault, cause I forgot to export it. :(
I just didn't expect that couple of weeks ago it would loose list of my around 50 sites to blacken. There is no apparent reason that caused it.
Is there a way to retrieve it? I mean where does it save those sites, I've searched for them in profile files and about:config and couldn't find it anywhere.
Edit: As I recall, my Firefox did crash couple of times at that period, not at the time I was editing my whitelist, but that might be it.
I have found that file, but it's empty. Unfortunately I haven't done backup at that period, so it's lost. But nevermind, I've learned a lesson. :)
Thank you for explanation.
Why, Oh Why? Rated 4 out of 5 stars
...Full-Page "OR" Text-Only zoom. Why can't we use it together, that is why I liked NoSquint.
For example: Many pages with full-page zoom fit to width, still don't have acceptable text size. Than all I need to do is to increase text-only zoom too, and that wouldn't exceed page width, but I can't do that with Zoom Page.
I must admit Zoom Page have some advantages and great ideas, but this inability is a deal breaker for me. So I must stick with NoSquint Plus which is not on par with NoSquint.
Edit: Well, I didn't realize about Text Minimum Zoom Level functionality, it's better with that, although still not what I'm looking for, but I get Your reasons. Thank You for a clear and thorough explanation. :)
Sad News Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I've been using it for years, so sorry to see it go. :( I hope someone could fork it or worthy alternative would show up.
I can't read most websites anymore on their "normal" zoom level. It's mostly a strain, even for healthy eyesight.
I almost can't browse some sites without it :( Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I'm so accustomed to it, that I'm still using Firefox 44, despite it's potential security issues. I really hope that developer somehow finds time and will to rewrite it.
Still doesn't work, obviously only for some people, and reason is unknown... Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I really don't know how to rate it. For me, it was working fine, until it suddenly stopped couple of months ago for no obvious reason.
I thought with new update, it's gonna finally work, but no!
I can still see the dialog and the progress bar that is working to infinity, and not downloading or playing anything. :(
What happened to old panel? Rated 3 out of 5 stars
No more options to turn on the old panel. Now I'm stuck with that big new panel that me and many people doesn't like. Why? :(
I find old panel much more clear and functional.
"Page not scanned" on Firefox 42 for every page... Rated 5 out of 5 stars
...and Options link opens a blank page!? I hope soon there will be a fix for this. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (5.4.9).
Units are too long now... Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Hello, I too join the request to change back units to /s instead of /sec and "rounded = 157 KB/s" units, or at least to make options for that in case someone likes them this way.
As it is now, it truncates file name text too much...
Big problem with current stable DownThemAll too! Rated 4 out of 5 stars
When adding downloads in DTA (second file,...) after it is already downloading something (first file), it opens another DTA tab. What's even worse, in every new DTA tab it starts downloading from the beginning this same file that is currently been downloaded in first tab (first file,...).
So basically I end up with same files downloading simultaneously in different percentages across 2 or more DTA tabs.
Still no Date (Added on) Column, even in Beta version too? Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Every download manager I've ever encountered has a date (added on, time, or similar named) column so you can track when you have downloaded something.
It's baffling that DTA after all these years haven't got something simple as that. That's the only thing I'm missing the most in this great add-on.
Much better and more compact than "Slim Add-ons Manager", but... Rated 4 out of 5 stars
...unlike mentioned one, "Cleanest Addon Manager" does not slim down Available Updates category, and also it would be nice if it could compact Recent Updates category implemented by "Addons Recent Updates" extension. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (7.0.1-signed.1-signed).
Works fine in Firefox 31 now Rated 5 out of 5 stars
It works fine in Firefox 31, but is it possibly to make it work with bookmarks menu implemented by Classic Theme Restorer extension?
Excellent Rated 5 out of 5 stars
It works much better than previous similar add-ons that usually failed after certain amount of time and got abandoned.
One problem though: Recently, on Grooveshark site only, when it's set not to show panel automatically, there is no more Lyrics Here icon?
Lighting is great, categories checkbox style is not... Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I too don't like new checkbox solution for categories. Old method was better and faster, and this seems like a downgrade. But I'm still gonna give this 5 stars, because I'm using it for years and I can't imagine Thunderbird without Lighting anymore. :D
I really don't understand people giving this one star and such, only because of occasional problems. That's why the best add-on for thunderbird has such a low rating.
No "Export in HTML" item in Bookmarks Library context menu? Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I don't know is it a bug, or a missing feature, but I have no "Export in HTML" item in Bookmarks Library context menu, and there is that item in Bookmarks Menu. Otherwise simple, but essential feature, hence five stars. :)
Incompatibility with Scroll Search Engines Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Very useful Scroll Search Engines add-on doesn't work (scroll) anymore when Omnibar installed. Please, consider a fix. Thanks. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7.19.20130418.1-signed.1-signed).
Someone should continue or fork this! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Thanks developer for many years with this great add-on. Unfortunately, it seems that he/she lacks time and/or motivation to continue this. Since this is indispensable and very useful add-on for many people, I hope someone with knowledge and more time will continue development or fork this add-on, because none of the alternatives work exactly this way.
Loading... issue again Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Really essential add-on. Thanks! But it seems to have a conflict with another essential add-on: "Tab Mix Plus". I have set New Tab King as Homepage and this is where Loading... tab instead of normal NTK tab appears. NTK loads fine when I press new tab button. Is it possible to solve this?
Edit: It is actually conflicting with Tab Mix Plus "Session Manager" component, when "restore when browser starts" option is checked. Fiddling with various other options there didn't help.
