Tab Utilities Phoenix

OUTSTANDING !!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thank you STUX for reviving this add-on. By far the best vertical tab add-on in existence! PLEASE maintain this add-on until Ff developers figure out vertical tabs should be a built-in Ff standard option. Outstanding !!!

Extension List Dumper

Works with 31 other add-ons In Ff v18.0.2... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Replaced Infolister because it's not supported anymore. Just installed ELD on Ff v18.0.2 and it seems to work okay. No problems seen with short term tests so far. ELD and Infolister are the only two add-ons I've found that perform this feature and hope one or both are maintained indefinitely... or until Ff dev's wise up and make this a default feature within Ff, although I'm not holding my breath as these common sense things seem to take Mozilla development forever to realize, let alone incorporate. Thanks to the developer "Sogame" for providing this feature add-on so we can keep track of what we have installed regarding add-ons. ELD DOES NOT list plug-ins as did Infolister. That would be a big plus to add the option to include the installed plug-ins to the list along with the add-ons. Thanks Sogame!

Even Broken on Ff v16 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Installed this on a working Ff v16 and it's broken as well, so it's not just the code in Ff v24 (unless the same code is relative across all these Ff versions). Been using this forever and need it fixed yesterday please! ;-)

Vapor Graph broken... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great add-on! However, the Vapor graphic is broken again it seems. USA satellite vapor map has east coast frozen from the tip of Texas through the N/W corner of Ohio and beyond. Info bar at bottom of vapor graph window shows "2GOES NORTH AMERICA WATER VAPOR 22 MAY 13 02:45 UTC". Mid way through the graph animation of the western half of the USA it changes to "2GOES NORTH AMERICA WATER VAPOR 23 MAY 13 08:15 UTC" and ' then ' the clock starts and runs up to 02:45 UTC. Makes no sense.

Animated satellite vapor graphic is working throughout the cycle to show the western half of USA, but the clock and "map date" is stuck at 22 until mid-way through when it jumps to 23 and the clock starts at 08:15 UTC. At that point/time the entire USA graph is animated from coast to coast. It's as though todays animation sequence is running consistently "under yesterdays locked east coast satellite frame" until mid-way through the animation, the in-frame locked east coast graph picture disappears and is removed from the sequence, allowing one to see the complete/entire animation window/sequence for today from that point forward. Prior frames running under yesterdays locked east coast frame aren't viewable at any time until that frame is removed. Take a piece of paper and cover the east coast animation and remove it half way through the frame sequence. That will exemplify what I'm trying to explain here.

I've uninstalled AniWeather, reset the 'current and forecast' data, re-installed it and have the same result!

AniWeather version 0.8.37... Firefox version 16.0.2 .

Please fix this or supply a work-around until such time it's fixed asap. I rely on AniWeather satellites and graphs daily... and I LIVE on the east coast! So this is a major problem for myself and other USA east coast dwellers / travelers. I hope to get a reply / response asap. No other way to contact the developer outside the reviews section here.

Thanks,
BigThunder1

Copy As Plain Text

Excellent! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Does what it's designed to do! Had to replace the deprecating add-on 'Liquid Words' which has been "sadly" and openly abandoned by it's developer. Thank you mehtuus for creating and maintaining this simple but priceless add-on. Outstanding! (Ff 17.0.1)

Restart

Works as advertised with one exception... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Good add-on! Shortcut key combo Ctrl + Alt + R doesn't work nor does any other offered key combo except Alt + R in my browser (Ff v17.0.1). Other than that it works. I personally don't like the green icon. It stands out like a sore thumb on blue colored browser scheme. Developer should offer a simple black colored icon or a user option to change/replace it. Overall the add-on serves it's purpose.

Restartless Restart

Fail... Uninstalled. Rated 2 out of 5 stars

File Menu restart works. Bar button works but upon restart it places itself to the far right regardless of initial position. Keyboard shortcut does not work. Cannot alter shortcut command. No matter what key shortcut is used it renders a blank area on the 'File' menu for the altered key. i.e... Default shortcut keys are "accel, alt" which renders as "ctl + alt + R" on the 'File' menu. In settings, replace the "accel" with any other key designation and it's rendered on the 'File' menu as "{blank area - as in nothing at all showing on menu} + alt + R". Bottom line; this add-on needs some serious refinement/work. It's a great idea, but until it actually works as advertize the search continues. Uninstalled.

Question for developer: Why use 'accel' for the alt key when 'alt' is the defacto default?

Gmelius - Gmail, the way you want it!

Nice tweaks! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This adds a few nice little tweaks to your "in-browser Gmail UI". Things I think Gmail/Google should offer as standard user options.

Lots of great little tweaks offered here overall! A nice addition to anyones Ff browser that habits gmail through it. This is one add-on I'd like to see stay around or get incorporated into Gmails' settings dialog via Google itself. Thanks Florian for offering this set of tweaks!! Excellent!!!

FoxyTunes

ANOTHER SELLOUT!!! Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Another fantastic add-on ruined and abandoned by corporate America. I've been a user since the beta days and remember/miss the original developer and her active involvement with the community. Now it's just another non-supported, ignored, joke of an add-on being killed off by the big corporate yahoo machine. Sad, soooo sad... and so long Foxytunes. Uninstalling and moving on. *BIG SIGH*.

Re-Pagination

Outstanding!... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thanks for reviving this add-on! Works perfectly! A needed add-on that's priceless when used. Saves much time and frustration on pages with multiple sub-pages. Scroll through them without having to stop, click, and wait for a new page to load. No more need for multiple tabs while researching whatever it is your looking at/for. Even works on Google search as well as my favorite search engine = Yippy! Great job Nils! Keep it up. Thanks!

Flashblock

Download Error today for v1.5.15... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

While attempting to download today (7/16/11) I received "Error -228". Had to go to developers site to download. Installed without a hitch.

Excellent add-on! Been using it as long as I can remember since it became available. Disables and hides all the annoying distracting flash from the page so you can focus on content rather than bothered with all the "flash" animation advertising BS etc.. Want to see it?... left click the silver button over the advertisement / page. Not what you wanted or thought it was/would be?... simply reload the page and it will once again be stopped / hidden.

Note to developers; What a sanity saver from all the useless animated advertisements etc.. Keep at it and please continue to maintain it ...forever (or at least as long as humanly possible ;-) ). A must have... / Can't live sanely without... add-on. Excellent creation! Thank you!!!

Satellite animation is broke... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Just updated from v0.8.16 to v0.8.18 because the satellite animation wasn't working. v0.8.18 seems to have the same problem! I'll assume your satellite animation site / link is down. After the update didn't fix the problem even with a clean install I tried my desktop PC and got the same results. This is the most used feature for me personally so I hope the PTB get it back up today!

Speaking of animation, it would be real nice if both the satellite and radar animations offered regional and State view(s) user options. National is great, but I'd also like to see a closer metro, regional, and State view. Check out the radar animation in the ForecastFox add-on for a regional radar reference. Sadly I have both installed because one or the other don't incorporate user customizable features as noted. They each lack something the other has. Someday a well rounded weather add-on with user customizable features as noted would be great.

ANIMATION FIXED! Thanks AniWeather... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Just wrote a flippin' detailed review that got wiped when submitted. Now I'm very upset!!! Latest update of AniWeather v0.8.12 in Ff v3.6.17 broke the toolbar icon animation setting/feature. Web page animation works fine but toolbar animation just quite working all together. Other complaints: 1) frame rate across the board is extremely fast and unreadable - 2) no local or regional USA radar options. This is why I have ForecastFox installed as well so I can access local regional radar. And no -- they played well together for a long time until the last.AniWeather update.

Got a fix or resolve for this AniWeather team?

>Edit: 5/4/11... I was going to delete and re-write my review but decided otherwise. I did clean it up a bit and apologize to anyone offended. We all have bad days. I do hope the AniWeather team resolves this issue soon. After all, it is a great add-on! Even if it is currently broken to some extent and in need of some additional options/features as noted above.

>Edit: 5/12/11... AniWeather team... I installed v0.8.1.6 and it did indeed fix the icon animation issue. Thank you for the reply.

_Anyone: The version mentioned above is available here. Just click on the "view all versions" link on the main page at bottom right. It's at the top of the page listing. Not tested by Mozilla as of this writing and that's why you don't see it listed on the main download page.

Pixlr Grabber

Very "impressive" add-on!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Copy to clip-board... PRICELESS! The on-line editor is great! I like that it's layout is similar to GIMP's. Very user friendly IMO. Does what it says on the box and then some. Well done Ola!!! 10 Stars... hands down. ;-)

Toggle Word Wrap

Works as advertised! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great add-on Kaspar! Thanks for your time designing this!

I'm in agreement with "shaurz" comment "Unfortunately the accelerator Ctrl+Shift+O is already used by "Organise Bookmarks" on Linux.". Confirmed. Using this shortcut doesn't work and it needs to be changed.

Keep up this great extension! Thanks.

SwiftTabs

OUTSTANDING ADD-ON !!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

@rocksoccer,

Thank you for resurrecting this add-on rocksoccer! Although as of this writing I don't see a high download count, please keep this one up to date. I wouldn't want to be without this neat little add-on and thank you again for taking it over and keeping it alive. ;)

@Hotrian,

Even though this function exists in Ff, not everyone wants to use the default hot-key(s) setup for various reasons. It's nice to set hot-keys for this function that are comfortable for the individual and can override the chosen key-combo-default key functions, yet maintain them as well without getting into the Ff config files. If one wants to revert to the original hot-key combo(s), they can simply disable this add-on temporarily and effectively neutralize it. This way the add-on remains available if one wants to change it back to active status. I'd rather have an add-on for something like this than to actually change the default configuration. Besides, the average user wouldn't likely have a clue about the config process, which makes an add-on such as this priceless to those who appreciate it's simple function.

I think it's a brilliant idea and am thankful it's been resurrected and kept alive!

Unsorted Bookmarks Folder Menu

Illogical and Doesn't Work... Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I fail to see the point of this add-on. When installed it installs/creates a "Unsorted Bookmarks" folder to the main bookmarks menu. When saving a 'random bookmark' on the fly to the menu Ff simply places it 'on' the main bookmark menu as usual (Ff default action). Unsorted bookmarks logically are just that, bookmarks added on the fly without placing them in a specific folder! I have "Add Bookmark Here 2" installed which doesn't show up in the "Unsorted Bookmarks" folder installed/created as a result of installing this add-on either making it a doubly pointless bit of code. A completely useless add-on.

Re-code it to be the default drop folder for bookmarks on the fly when no other folder is selected (to be sorted/organized later)-(rather than the default placement on main bookmarks menu) and you might have something.

If anyone wants a bookmarks folder labeled "Unsorted Bookmarks" on either the bookmarks menu or the bookmarks toolbar, simply create one and be done with it! Why add useless code that makes a one time folder for you when installed, and nothing else?!? No settings/options to control any actions exist either, so I really fail to see the point of this add-on or the 5-star reviews.Totally pointless! I don't even understand why the Ff dev's put this one through!

This is what I get for assuming an add-on does as it's title insinuates. After all, it's description clearly states "Add Unsorted Bookmarks Folder to Bookmarks Menu" and nothing more. Guess I deserve the "Homer Simpson Award" for this one. What a waste of time. At least it uninstalls! +1

BTW -- drag and drop works fine for main bookmarks menu as well as the bookmarks toolbar in Ff v-3.0.18 on Linux. I'm just completely baffled over this one. If you don't know how to create a bookmarks folder, read the help file!

Ya Broke It!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Me too! Ya flippin' broke it!!! Damn dev's that don't test things before releasing them on the public. Seems like this is becoming a disease lately with add-on dev's. I don't mean to sound ungracious, but Please fix this YESTERDAY! Thanks

While your at it, fix the "Alerts" icon so it can actually be turned off after reading. That's never worked on my machine. Extremely annoying!!!

A Must Have Tool for PIM... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

A Calendar, To-Do/Task list, and your email... all in one place!
A long awaited combo that's simply OUTSTANDING!!! Thank you for developing this fantastic tool for TB. Keep up the great work!

Works great on my Linux box! (I don't use the on-line calendar sync feature though. No need at this time.)

VertTabbar

Outstanding even with current bugs... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

VertTabbar is a Great extension!!!

Sadly, development for the extension called Vertigo-( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1343 ) which was previously my favorite, has died and I've finally given up all hope of resurrection by the original developer who seems to have disappeared and no longer responds. That said, VertTabbar is an excellent replacement in the same vein; simple and efficient! Tree-type tab extensions and the like are flat useless, take up valuable screen real-estate as well as resources, leak, and... NONE OF THEM "EVER" WORKED RIGHT -(if at all!)- on several machines and multiple OS's I tried them on. Along comes ...(or should I say "I found") VertTabbar and hope is once again renewed for a simple replacement/augmentation to the standard horizontal Ff tab-bar!! Relative too the TMP extension, I don't have the same problem color-coding / highlighting the tab text etc. via TMP as another reviewer commented; works perfectly! I do however have a problem each time I change a tab related setting in TMP which causes VertTabbar to jump from the right side of the browser window too the left. I also have All-In-One_Sidebar installed and VertTabbar jumps/sticks to the right edge of it when this jump occurs, not the window boarder. The fix is to open VertTabbar's settings and click the left, then the right radial button to force VertTabbar back to the right side; where it stays unless and until I change a tab related setting again in TMP. When starting Ff, VertTabbar starts on the left of screen, then jumps to the right while loading btw: interesting oddity IMO. Vertigo was on the right each and ever time at start-up without fail for me.

The other issue I have is the inability to scroll or access the hidden tabs-(beyond 23 tabs in my case @ 1024x768 resolution on my main machine). My work-around is the extension called SwiftTabs-( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/380 ), ...but still it's a PIA time-wise having to go through 10-15 tabs individually before locating the one I want, then back again... etc. etc. etc. . Julien, maybe you could look at the source code for Vertigo and come up with some ideas to resolve these issues. Vertigo did function very well with TMP with exception to the auto-hide feature; it worked...sometimes, but would reset to the default width rather than maintain the width I had chosen). I'd give you 5 stars, but until these issues are resolved I must be honest and fair at the same time. I'll continue using VertTabbar because there's no competition for the simplicity it offers. I hope these issues get fixed asap, then, 5 stars it will be! If you request Julien, I'll email my Ff Info listing of extensions, themes, and plug-ins to help you resolve things. Thanks for your time and effort on this one Julien! OUTSTANDING!!! Keep at it please and don't let this one die!

BigThunder1... ;)
