My Reviews

Tabs Open Relative (Modified)

Missing Sought-For Feature Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Nice but what I really want is to force javascript popups to open in a new tab. Haven't seen anyone design that yet. The LA Times website pops up the registration for their site and it's *very* annoying. I only put up with it because I live in the LA area. (Yes, I complained. They think it's a "feature".)

OpenComment

No options, no help Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I do not understand this extension. The description seems to say I should be able to go to any website and comment in a free and reasonable manner without registering or logging in. It did not work. I went to the Bay Register website and wanted to comment but even though I opened the open comment side bar, I was not able to comment until I registered and logged in. (Which I did, but it was annoying as usual.)

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.23).

Open Image In New Tab

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I do not understand comments about using ctrl-click to substitute for this extension, that just puts a box in my current screen that I can't do anything useful with. I prefer this extension and would appreciate an update ASAP. I am using a notebook computer.

1-ClickWeather

Revised Add-on Does Not Install Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I can't reinstall 1-Click Weather in Firefox 4.0, I downloaded the modified 1-clickweather-1.1.9.1-fx.xpi (860 KB) from Megaupload, and it seems to install, but never shows up in the Addons Manager and I don't have weather info on Firefox. I restarted each time and it still wasn't there.

These errors showed up with the unmodified version:

[Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80520012 (NS_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND) [nsIFileInputStream.init]" nsresult: "0x80520012

(NS_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://1clickweather/content/js/utils/filemanager.js :: <TOP_LEVEL> :: line 233" data: no]

eQuake Alert

How to continue using EQuake Alert Rated 1 out of 5 stars

You can continue using an incompatible version of EQuake Alert if you have Mr. Tech Toolkit installed. Go to Miscellaneous section, click on XPI Install Options, uncheck Enable Addons Compatibility Checking. Click OK and you're done. Use with caution. I haven't had any trouble with EQuake Alert, but there might be repercussions with other Extensions if you don't update them. Incidentally, the latest version of EQuake Alert is 4.0.3.6, if you can find it. (Not available from Mozilla or the Owner's website.) It's still incompatible with the latest Firefox.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.3.3.6).

Unhide Menubar

Update has disappeared Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Rating: 0 You'll have to modify your own if you want this to work, the "mod" has disappeared from Hotfiles and is not apparently available elsewhere. I would give the author an "F" for netizen misbehavior. If you can't update this extension then get out of the way and let someone else take over.
