Works about half the time Rated 4 out of 5 stars
When it works it's great. But it's very inconsistent. For example, these videos still autoplay with the extension installed and enabled:
What makes these videos different from the ones that don't autoplay, I have no idea. This would be a five-star extension if it worked 100% of the time. Or even 90% of the time.
UPDATE: Yes, sure enough I am in the HTML5 trial. Well, I still can't go to five stars given that not all YouTube videos are stopped by the extension. However, I will bump it up to four stars given the developer's quick answer and awareness of the issue. Hopefully it can be resolved, and if and when it is, I will happily bump this up to five stars.
A good concept, but very inaccurate Rated 2 out of 5 stars
I love the idea of this extension. However, it never once came within 20MB of the memory usage shown by Task Manager, and was sometimes off by as much as 60MB. (I'm giving it the benefit of counting both firefox.exe and plugin-container.exe.) That's too much of a discrepancy to make this extension useful, in my opinion. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6.1-signed).
Needs a time-out Rated 4 out of 5 stars
It's a very good gestures extension, but it really needs a time-out feature. If I start a gesture and then decide against it, with other extensions I can just pause a moment and the gesture will time-out. With FireGestures I have to "scribble" the gesture to invalidate it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.2).
