Firebug by Joe Hewitt, Jan Odvarko, others
Collector's Note Acclaim for this extension is quite well deserved. Reflects on almost everything you'd want (I only wish it could also work on XUL dialogs).
FireFTP is a free, secure, cross-platform FTP/SFTP client for Mozilla Firefox which provides easy and intuitive access to FTP/SFTP servers.
Check out my new project, FireSSH!
Collector's Note This is one high powered extension. And a great guy who made it (friendly and uses donations for orphans).
Manage any SQLite database on your computer.
Collector's Note Wow, this is a sweet one. Only wish 1) menu items would insert current table data rather than generic "table-name" place-holder, etc.; 2) edit record view would have layout that was both flex and remembered for next time.
Use tamperdata to view and modify HTTP/HTTPS headers and post parameters...
Collector's Note Would prefer a less nefarious sounding name, but a very useful extension
Session Manager saves and restores the state of all or some windows - either when you want it or automatically at startup and after crashes. It can also automatically save the state of open windows individually.
Collector's Note Good for storing session data
View JSON documents in the browser.
Collector's Note Nice if you're working with JSON--syntax coloring & collapse segments
Show tabs like a tree.
Collector's Note This is the sweetest thing since sliced bread--tabs which can be ordered hierarchically on the side of the screen (nice for laptops whose screen height is already small). Its creator is a brilliant extension developer who appreciates power user needs, as evident in the number of configuration options he provides (I love it), though thankfully he's split up some of his extensions into separate ones. He also has some other extensions like a context menu editor which I really hope gets restored to how it worked before.
ChatZilla by Gijs Kruitbosch, Robert Ginda, others
A clean, easy to use and highly extensible Internet Relay Chat (IRC) client.
Collector's Note Great for getting quick help on development questions
HTML Validator is a Mozilla extension that adds HTML validation inside Firefox and Mozilla. The number of errors of a HTML page is seen on the form of an icon
For Online HTML 5 validation, you need 0.962
Collector's Note Wish all developer's used this to ensure well-formed and valid code!
DOM Inspector is a tool that can be used to inspect and edit the live DOM of any web document or XUL application. The DOM can be navigated using a two-paned window displaying a variety of different views on the document and all nodes within.
Collector's Note Firebug usually does the trick, but this is nice for inspecting XUL dialogs which can't be opened by chrome URL
CodeBurner is a Firefox add-on that integrates with Firebug, to extend it with reference material for HTML and CSS.
Collector's Note Nify way to get W3C reference info...
Finds HTML elements matching chosen CSS selector(s) or XPath expression
Collector's Note Great idea to allow CSS or XPath to quickly find specific components of a page.
Firebug extension to view which CSS rules are actually used.
Collector's Note Seems useful (for which CSS rules are actually used on one's site)
