Check4Change by Ronen Zilberman

Rated 4 out of 5 stars 140 reviews

26,694 users

Check4Change (aka C4C) is a simple extension that allows you to select a part of a web-page, and get notified when it changes.
Collector's Note Highlight a part of a page and set that part of the page to refresh every x seconds/minutes. Whenever that part changes, an alarm gets shown/sounded and the tab is focussed. Since only the highlighted part of the page is changed, it does not use many resources, doesn't decrease your internet speed when you surf other tabs, and does not use much RAM either. A fabulous addon. Most recommended.

RSS Ticker by Christopher Finke

Rated 4 out of 5 stars 145 reviews

RSS Ticker loads your Live Bookmarks and scrolls their entries across your screen while you surf.
Collector's Note Headlines ticker is a better addon than RSS ticker which uses a lot of RAM. The only difference is that Headlines Ticker is seen on the navigation bar besides the search engine, while RSS Ticker is at the bottom beneath the addon bar. I would choose Headlines ticker unless you have no space on the navigation bar where it resides.
