Problem with font sizes Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Today I found out, that this add-on caused my Firefox to have too large fonts everywhere, which is really sad, because I like the add-on. But as of now, even the smallest font is too large with this extension. It came a few months ago from one day to the other. Mean while I started a new Firefox, but today I gave it another shot and found out which extension caused all this :(
Please provide more information
It is difficult to understand what the problem is without some more detailed information. Zoom Pageonly zooms web page contents in accordance with the current settings (selected zoom level, full page or text only, etc) and the chosen options (zoom mode, zoom levels, etc) in the options dialog.
It is likely that you have accidentally selected a setting or option that is causing the text (fonts) to be zoomed larger than you want, for example:
- You may have Right-Clicked on the zoom percentage display, which switches into 'Text Only' zoom. To fix this, Right-click again on the zoom percentage display to switch back into 'Full Page' zoom.
- You may have Shift+Clicked have on a percentage zoom level on the drop-down zoom menu, which changes the Text Minimum Zoom Level used in 'Full Page' zoom. To fix this, Shift-Click on a smaller percentage on the drop-down zoom menu to reduce the Text Minimum Zoom Level. Note, the current Text Minimum Zoom Level is highlighted in red on the drop-down zoom menu.
- You may have selected a 'Fit-To-Width' zoom mode, instead of a 'Default' zoom mode. To fix this, move the mouse over the 'gear wheel' icon on the drop-down zoom menu, and then select the 'D/X' or 'D/S' zoom mode on the small popup menu.

Zoom Page 12.0 (for me) is no longer compatible with Firefox 34 and above Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I have used Zoom Page 12.0 for a long time with various versions of Firefox up to Firefox 33.1.1 in Windows 7 with great success but when upgrading to Firefox 34 or 35 I had problems with the Zoom Page Button Style Option not initialising. The Zoom Page button was also missing completely from the Firefox customisation menu. Selecting any of the options in the drop down Button Style Option box would then cause Zoom Page to initialise and all web pages would then become unreadable in very large text which couldn’t be rectified.
According to the developer the most likely cause of this issue was the fact that in Firefox 33 and earlier, information about the buttons on the toolbars was stored in ‘localstore.rdf’. In Firefox 34, ‘localstore.rdf’ was replaced by ‘xulstore.json’. However I couldn’t understand this as in my profile both files localstore.rdf and xulstore.json are installed.
The developer considers my profile to be corrupt and has recommended establishing a new profile but I have pointed out that the same profile has been in regular use without any issues in all versions of Firefox up to version 33.1.1.
Unfortunately, in the circumstances I have found it necessary to abandon Zoom Page completely and install NoSquint 2.1.9 which has exactly the same text and page zoom facilities and works flawlessly with my current profile in Firefox 35.0.1.
Zoom Page has no issues running in my other Firefox derivative browsers, namely Pale Moon and IceDragon as both these browsers currently use versions of Firefox earlier than 33.1.1.
I should like to thank the Zoom Page developer for his help, it’s just unfortunate that the matter couldn’t be resolved without perhaps the major task of having to set up a new profile.
Excellent!! But what for mobile firefox Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I have installed this addon few days backs on my windows PC. Is this plugin available for android mobile firefox? This review is for a previous version of the add-on (12.0).
text only is for all sites? Rated 4 out of 5 stars
i use this addon to set zoom levels and its very good too.
but when i use the right click on its button and it goes text only all the websites go text only.which obviously is not what i want.
why is that? is that firefox issue?
can it be fixed?
oh so it doesnt help me much cause some websites need the small fonts for functioning but some other site have bad small text and zooming in messes up their website layout .
so i ended up using the minimum font size for my language in firefox setting in option>content>advanced>arabic>minimum font size.
ok thanks for clearing this up.
Try using Text Minimum Zoom Level ...
This is exactly how ‘Text Only’ zoom works in standard Firefox. As far as possible, Zoom Page builds on top of Firefox’s standard features. You may find that setting the "Text Minimum Zoom Level" to a higher value will achieve what you want, without having to switch between 'Full Page' and 'Text Only' zoom. If not, would a new "Text Minimum Font Size" achieve what you want?

It's good addon but one thing is missing: to change the zoom level with mouse scroll over the icon on the toolbar. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (12.0).
Try Ctrl+MouseScroll anywhere in the web page ...
Is mouse scroll on the icon necessary, when you can already Ctrl+MouseScroll anywhere in the web page to change the zoom levels?

FABULOUS add-on. It allows me to control the zoom on all sites with just one or two clicks. I love it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (12.0).
Brilliant! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Love the addon, makes viewing on my laptop so much better!
I do have a question... I switch between docking and undocking my laptop quite often, and so have to go to the options page to change the default zoom level every time. Is there a shortcut to set the current level as the new default? If not, could there be?
Edit: Thanks for the response! Rating upped to 5 stars
There is a quick way to set a new default zoom level ...
You can quickly set the default zoom level by clicking on the percentage display to show the Zoom Menu, and then middle-clicking (or Ctrl+clicking) on the required zoom level.

Quality addon but unless I'm missing something the option here is full page OR text zoom. If I have 5 tabs, all 5 can only be zoomed by text or all 5 must be zoomed full page. hopefully its me... :/This review is for a previous version of the add-on (12.0).
Try using Full Page zoom and setting a text minimum zoom level
Zoom Page does not automatically switch between Full Page zoom and Text Only zoom when switching between tabs, which is the same way that standard Firefox works.
However, when using Full Page zoom, Zoom Page does allow a minimum zoom level to be set for text elements, which may make it possible for you to always use Full Page zoom..

I'm really happy that this extension is compatible with Pale Moon v25, can't complain about anything ; )This review is for a previous version of the add-on (11.1).
Very useful with some flaws Rated 4 out of 5 stars
If you have a large high resolution monitor and you hate to zoom every time you visit a page this add-on is for you..Together with mouse control add-on you will never have to use the keyboard again to zoom a page..I am using it well over a year now and I have to say it's getting better and better..Especially the new "minimum text zoom" feture is very useful for sites that I can't zoom over 120% before the annoying horizontal scrollbar appears or even pages like add-on manager and about:config..
Saying that it has some flaws like it doesn'always remember the zoom I set..I have "fit to window+site specific" and it tends to always fit to window although I have set a zoom lower than that..Also "minimum text zoom" would be more powerful if we could block some pages of using it (like about:preferences) where my default zoom value makes fonts appear way too large..The image zoom is good but doesn't downscale very high resolution images to the resolution of my display..Last,when I first update to latest version it zoomed my text to 300%..
Overall a great add-on one of my top five which are the reason why I could never change firefox with all of its flaws..
One Critical Flaw Rated 3 out of 5 stars
You have to choose between FULL OR TEXT zoom. There is another addon called NoSquint that lets you do BOTH. This addon, while well written, drives me crazy because I zoom waaaaaaaaaay out to make the page fit and then I cannot see the text it is so small. If I want to see it then I have to switch to text mode which blows the page right back up to its full size and then everything is all messed up. If you NEVER have ANY problem reading ANYTHING ANYWHERE and you just want the pages to fit properly on the screen then this is for you. Otherwise just go get NoSquint.
Author: Sorry to be rude about your addon man, but I gave it a good long three months.
New feature in Version 11.0 fixes this issue
Version 11.0 includes a new feature to stop text being zoomed so small that it becomes unreadable.
This feature works with manual zoom and fit-to-width zoom, when the zoom type is full-page. The feature is configured using the new Text Minimum Zoom Level option in the Options dialog. The Text Minimum Zoom Level can also be quickly changed by Shift+Click on a zoom value in the Zoom Menu.
(Review Changed) - Powerful Addon, Be Careful With Settings Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This is a great and powerful addon. If you make changes in settings and end up breaking website layouts make sure the "Zoom Text Only" option is un-checked.If you make any changes to browser with this addon the changes may not be reverted back after uninstalling it so be careful with what you change.
Thank you author for the tip.
Try disabling Text-Only zoom
Zoom Page normally zooms images as well as text. You have probably accidentally enabled 'Text-Only' zoom.
In standard Firefox, there is a command (View > Zoom > Zoom Text Only) to enable or disable 'Text-Only' zoom.
When Zoom Page is installed, you can also enable or disable 'Text-Only' zoom by right-clicking on the displayed zoom percentage (and the percentage changes to italics) or by using a keyboard shortcut (by default, Ctrl+semi-colon).
Most likely you right-clicked the displayed zoom percentage.

Really very useful Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Great add-on! Often I need a screenshot of a website where the developer decided much too big buttons and lots of empty space. Reducing to 80% is the solution.
I have not been able to create a custom zoom-level. Repeatedly tried fo validate and apply
Regretfully these zoomlevels donot stick, i.e. "C:" remains 100.
However, that aside, good tool!
Please provide more information .....
Cannot reproduce this problem. This feature should work fine on Firefox 3.6 - 34.0a2.
Which operating system are you using? Which version of Firefox are you using?
The way it should work is:
- optionally, click the 'down arrow' button to copy one of the pre-defined sets of zoom levels
- manually enter the required additional custom zoom levels, separated by '-'
- click the 'tick' button to validate the custom zoom levels
- click the 'up arrow' button to update the custom (C:) set of zoom levels
- select the custom (C:) set of zoom levels and click the 'OK' button.

Is the problem still happening? Which operating system are you using?
Good; but… Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Pretty good at what it does, but can't handle the oddball situations where I need (for example) 168% zoom to properly fit what I'm doing.
The “zoom-to-fit” options are nice; although I haven't yet found a situation where what the software thought it should try to make fit was the same thing that I wanted it to fit to the screen, but I'm sure there will be times when having the software make the choices will be exactly what I want; but that certainly won't be all the time.
Currently I've gone for a Custom Zoom list of:
which will cover many of the options I'm commonly looking for, but is such a long list that it actually doesn't fit on the screen and I'll need to truncate it accordingly.
What the program really needs IMO is a one-off “Custom” option, between the long list of custom or preset zoom options and the ↔ and ☼ ► D/X, F/X, D/S, F/S choices. Prompt for a numeric 5%–400% entry and one-time that zoom level. (i.e.: 30 - 50 - 75 - 100 - 125 - 150 - 200 - 300 - Custom - ↔ - ☼ ). Also, a Ctrl-Click/Ctrl-Shift-Click on the +/- to zoom by ±1/±10 (regardless of the zoom levels setting) would make it much easier to hone in on the precise desired zoom level in particular situations.
That one addition will make it what "I" need. Without some kind of support for non-standard zooming here, there are doubtless other products that are more appropriate for me. But seems like a good product with loads of other useful options.
Thanks for suggestions .....
Thanks for the suggestions regarding a one-off custom zoom menu item and modified clicks on the +/- buttons to zoom by ±1%/±10%. These will be considered for a future version.
