With this addon you can play all videos on YouTube without Flash in the size and quality you want.
Features
Current problems
Firefox HTML5 support
You need to have H264 and MSE enabled for full HTML5 support. If you don't have MSE enabled, there will only be 360p and 720p available. Without H264 most videos will only offer a 360p version.
Features
- Change the size and/or the quality (independently) of the video (manually or automatically)
- Select different methods to force the HTML5 player (no longer necessary in recent versions of firefox)
- Disable Flash only on YouTube
- Disable the YouTube SPF function (active by default)
- Workaround for the volume bug
Current problems
- Some changes in the addon settings only take effect after a restart of Firefox
Firefox HTML5 support

- Windows XP: not supported and will not be
- Windows Vista+: supported since firefox 22
- Linux: Supported since firefox 26 using gstreamer (you need to install the relevant packages for your distribution and set media.gstreamer.enabled to true in about:config)
- MacOS: supported since firefox 35
- MSE support:
- Windows XP: not supported and will not be
- Windows Vista+: supported since firefox 37
- Linux: Supported in current versions using ffmpeg (you need to install the relevant ffmpeg package for your distribution and set media.mediasource.enabled, media.fragmented-mp4.exposed and media.fragmented-mp4.ffmpeg.enabled to true in about:config)
- MacOS: supported since firefox 38
