How about an update to support the latest FireFox (6.0.2 at the moment)? This has become unusable.
No update since 2009? What about FF4.01?
agree with earlier comments, and have some of my own.
1) Great plugin. Much better than the air app.
2) Inconvenient to have to login to website
3) Alerting me to my own yams is annoying.
4) Separate tabs for "all" and "follow" would be nice.
5) Could use a (configurable) hotkey.
6) Allow for message expansion in client.
7) Show threading in client.
8) change colors. white on black is strong.
Nice addon. However, in terms of UI and feature support. I think this addon could do well by mimicking or adopting features of TwitterFox.
For example, one thing lacking in this addon is the ability to login and get updates without having to go to Yammer website. You don't have to go to twitter to login just to use TwitterFox. Also would be nice to be able to switch accounts easily like how you can with TwitterFox.
I have my YammerFox interval to check for new yams every 30 minutes. When I submit a new yam, 30 minutes later, I get notified of my new yam. I find this to be unnecessary. Is there any way to disable notifications of my own yams?
I'd like it a whole lot better if I could add other feeds to it instead of just "My Feed". I'd like to have the "All" feed as well.
I am trying to add it to Firefox 3.1 Beta 3 and there is no add-on available for this verson! :@ Help!
could never see it as installing yammerfox 1.0.6 instantly hangs firefox, every time. kill -9 and restart = instant and permanent hang
firefox 22.214.171.124 on Ubuntu Hardy x86_64
Works nice, but what about linking te logo with the login url? Or make a built-in login feature...
I found the air app to be buggy and the email\rss feeds annoying. This extension is unobtrusive and works perfectly well. Doesn't quite have feature parity with the air app yet but has completely replaced use of the web app for me
A "popout" function similar to what gmail chat has would be useful. That way users wouldn't have to have the main firefox window visible to use YammerFox.
YammerFox solves the problem of keeping up with my company's Yammer feed without me having to think about it or run any extra applications. Also check out TwitterFox for the same reasons.
not able to install desktop Yammer--so I get email feeds, subscribe to RSS AND have the tab open all the time. I can now get rid of all those!
This is a good first stab at a Yammer Firefox plugin. Though, while it borrows code from Twitterfox (which I love), it misses some key features:
1) The option to set your username and password in the plugin, versus the inconvenience of having to log in on the site first
2) The ability to manage multiple accounts.
But all in all, a much-welcomed alternative to keeping Yammer open in a tab all day.
Very helpful and cool addon
It's a good start, but I'd like to see some more customizable options - I'd like to be able to change the color, move the icon to other places in my FF taskbar, and attach files, etc. I'd also like to be able to have a switcher that allows me to be logged into two Yammer accounts at one time.
However, those are aesthetic things more than anything - this app is a must have if you're a heavy Yammer user!
A very convenient way to see what people at your company are up to.
There is a handy 'link' button used to insert the URL of the page you are currently on into the message.
I also recommend TwitterFox, which does the same thing but for Twitter.
This is an amazing tool.
Neat. I love Yammer. Awesome to have on FF!
This is a port of the open source TwitterFox by Kazuho Okui. It's just like TwitterFox but for Yammer.
