Just read the great news!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I just saw (on LASTPASS) that they've acquired Xmarks. I can't tell you how happy I am - for both of you (two of my favourite addons).

I initially though that perhaps Xmarks would be incorporated into FF4, but, I think this is better. As I said, both Xmarks and Last Pass are two of my most important addons, and they both compliment each other beautifully.

I'd like to thank the folks at both Xmarks and Last Pass for this intelligent combination, and hope 2011 will be your - and our - best year yet.

Cheers!

First, let me say, I've NOTHING to do with Xmarks, Mozilla, et al. Like you, I love Xmarks. The response they've been getting is overwhelmingly positive - the 'powers that be' ARE listening. The GREAT news is it looks like Xmarks WILL go on. But, still - they NEED OUR SUPPORT. Our positive feedback IS helping get the word out. If you love Xmarks, GO to their page. Read it. TELL YOUR FRIENDS!!! ALSO: if you'd be wiling to POSSIBLY (again, it's still ONLY a possibility) pay $10/year, I encourage you to SIGN YOUR SUPPORT for this idea at: http://www.pledgebank.com/XmarksPremium. There IS power in numbers, thanks to all of US!!!

Xmarks is the BEST bookmarking sync add-on around. It's helped me numerous times, and for that, I'm very grateful. I just got the news about Xmarks. Whew! A product that everyone who uses - REALLY likes - is going. Someone (on the Firefox Sync page) said the smartest thing to do would be for Firefox to buy Xmarks and roll it into FF Sync. That is the most sensible answer. Maybe, if enough people let the powers that be at Mozilla about how we feel.....well, just maybe...

A little over a year ago, I had a problem, and needed to reinstall FireFox. Not having XMarks at that time, well... a lot of bookmarks I HAD were GONE. SHortly after that, I got XMarks (grudgingly), and after initial (irrational) hesitation, I cannot begin to appreciate what having XMarks has meant. I (again!) had to reinstall FireFox, and having had XMarks running this past year, my getting 'up-to-speed' was almost nil. It's always good to have major records backed up securely. Bookmarks ARE YOUR RECORDS, and they need to be backed up. I use XMarks and LastPass, and I feel much better knowing that if (more like 'when') I'm going to need everything restored, I'm protected.
