Why was WildFox Video Add-On created?
I started with the WildFox project mid-2010, which was supposed to become a version of Firefox with H.264 video support included. Due to issues with the build tools and a lack of fellow developers this project kind of petered out, until Microsoft released their add-on for Firefox a while ago which allowed playback of H.264 videos using their WMP 11 plug-in. I thought I could do it a step better and allow for the playback of any video format as there should be no reason why this wouldn't be possible.
What's next for WildFox Video Add-On
Bug fixes, above all :) Further I'll be awaiting feature requests and maybe get some fancy ideas myself. For now this add-on more or less works as it should, even if it isn't that pretty yet. Most of what lies in store for this add-on depends on user feedback, I guess.
