Long time favourite. A pity that it does not seem to be developed further :.(

having no prior experience with skinning but being unable to live with firefox 4 without this theme, i modified it to work with the present version. DonGato, with your permission i'm willing to put the time into properly updating or at least posting the patched version here for others who were desperate as i was. here's my review: this is easily the best theme available, flawless. could not do without. if willing contact me at my username @ gmail [the release notes say to contact you at mozillazine, but having created an account there for the sole purpose of doing so i find i haven't sufficient user permission] [20 apr edit: while this theme is still not entirely completed for 4 and i have yet to hear from the previous developer about assuming upkeep, a patched and mostly-working version is available and will be given to any who ask for it, as several have. contact me at my email address to be given a download link. i welcome any help or suggestions for the patch, but cannot outright publish it as-is, especially without author's blessing] [03 may edit: another user was able to reach out to dongato on my behalf and was told that somebody else is already working on this theme. until i know one way or the other it won't be further developed, but i will continue to host it for those who ask]

The best theme I have ever seen, and I would pay for a new version if I could. Absolutely no downsides at all.

did you see my post saying I would totally collaborate? I just don't see it published anywhere...

You're right

Your post is gone. I made a reply to it telling you to PM me at Mozillazine forum if you want to take over but seems that is gone with your post. I have no time nor will to continue but I can give you access to theme administration here if you want and request at Mozillazine they transfer you the thread that is used for development and testing.

Pretty much the only good theme available for Firefox. This must be updated for FF4, absolutely great work on this.

Please update for FF 4. Would be willing to donate too ;)

Working on this Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This has always been my go to theme, and I'm working on making it work for firefox 4.0

Can't be too hard, right?

I wonder why themes which are basically skinning elements break with new FF versions ... anyone knowledgeable around who can throw some light ?

This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.

That's because themes are a bundle of CSS style-sheets mostly and every time they change them they break the theme. They change them to adjust for changes in the interface or fix bugs. It's not a bad thing but it takes a lot of time and work to follow them.

Thanks, Dmitri, for the tip on how to max Whitehart Firefox 4.0+ compatible by changing its MaxVersion in Firefox/Profiles/Extensions. It's unfortunate Mozilla's policies have driven DonGato away updating this theme he so graciously cared for for years. The theme is simple, graphically concise and extremely well pull together... I will use it, with modifications, until it no longer works with Firefox and then I'll have to really think hard about switching to another browser, like Chrome or Opera.

great theme, love its clear design, thanks! NO Firefox 4 support - but, in fact, it can work fine with FF4 beta, one needs just to modify <em:maxVersion> in install.rdf ... I tried it and works absolutely fine with FF4. 1 min change ....

My favorite Firefox theme Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have been using this theme for years. It's clean, simple, light... What's not to like? The icons are really compact so you have the maximum screen space available for webpages.

Preferences Menu Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This theme is my favourite! I only have one problem, I can't find the preferences menu - I tried your earlier suggestion to go to the "About" section by right-clicking the theme, but there is nothing to change. The link to your homepage doesn't give any more information either, so what shall I do?
Oh, and is there a possibility for me to get rid of that grey 1px line between the menubar and the toolbar?
Thank you!

Not supported in 3.6

I assume you're using 3.6 and I'm afraid Mozilla forbid to use such code in a theme since this version.
Read the Release Notes and you will understand how to do that.
This theme is discontinued so no new changes will be made.

Best theme available... wish there was a dark version. So, 4 stars out of 5.

I'd give it 10 stars if I could! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

An elegant, simple, clean theme. The background color is great, soft and easy on the eyes. The buttons are simple, clean and very clear. I love this theme and have used it since I found it. It is very hard to find a clean, elegant, simple them that is not 'busy' but this one hits it out of the park. Many thanks for all the hard work.

control panel Rated 4 out of 5 stars

great looking addon, compact but clean, not cluttered like some others.

one question: is the control panel not working anymore for the FF3.6?
