- Rated 5 out of 5by Raynor, 7 days agoExcellent and very customizable. Works on most websites with video, making it universal (unlike extensions for specific site only, e.g. YouTube). Can configure keyboard shortcuts as well as speed jump increments.
- Rated 5 out of 5by kakashi_kakashi_, 20 days agoThere is currently an issue where video playback does not display correctly on Amazon Prime Video.
However, this is still an excellent plugin.
The issue originates from the original Video Speed Controller by igrigorik, which this fork is based on.
I believe that codebicycle will address it once the original is updated.
In the meantime, the issue is being discussed in issue #1186 on igrigorik's GitHub, and a temporary workaround is known:
```
▶️ While the video is playing, press V
✅ The controller overlay will be removed and video playback will resume as expected.
``` - Rated 1 out of 5by 60/40, 21 days agoSince 2025-05-03, With this add-on, Amazon Prime Video can't work. I.e. Sound is OK. but Image keep black screen.
This problem happens on Chrome too.
And it looks that other speed control add-ons don't have this problem.
Please solve this problem. - Rated 1 out of 5by Master, 21 days agoSuddenly on 4th May it stopped working on Amazon Prime. Whenever the extension is enabled, prime video shows black screen
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 18392014, 2 months agoPeriodically completely kills performance on websites that don't even have a video in them. At least there's a blacklist feature.

- Rated 5 out of 5by SirMatthew74, 3 months agoWorks great for my purposes. I'm able to follow a LinkedIn Learning course thanks to the app. The presenter goes way too fast. LinkedIn allows 50% speed, but that's too slow. 80-90% is super helpful. I had to increase the opacity on the controls to see them when I press "V". The UI isn't super slick, but it's well thought out.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Eternal, 4 months agoThe functionality of the plug-in is great, but performance is unfortunately awful.
Admittedly I am a person that regularly has over 30 tabs open at once, and noticed Firefox's general performance drop when open for long periods of time to the point of requiring regular browser restarts.
I've had no performance issues after disabling the extension, so unfortunately will give it a low rating. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12623245, 4 months ago
