The new UI is terrible, but there is an option to return back to the old one, so that's good. I just hope it wasn't as hidden as it is but whatever, I could bear with it. What I can't bear with however is the enforcement of a huge QR code on the video. A shame, because it was the best video downloader out there.

I was about to make a donation because this extension was starting to work really well with the latest updates to the companion application.
Today I updated it by launching Firefox: nothing works any more, it's not even visible...
You just see it in the list of extensions, no settings, nothing.

Was the best... after the last update on my macbook intel using firefox doesnt' work anymore like before :( always bug report....

Gets worse with every update, which is a shame. If it is not broken, do not fix it - and if it is, do so unobtrusively.

1. After the U.I. of Video DownloadHelper was updated, voiced and half-voiced marks are no longer added to Japanese file names.
Also, the first character of the file name [Mosaic Destruction] automatically changes to Mosaic.
Returning to Legacy U.I. will restore normality.
2. After using the new "Installed companion app: VdhCoApp 2.0.19", when a download error occurs, it is no longer clear which video is causing the error.
I would appreciate it if you could fix the above two points.

インターフェイスが変更されて手間が一つ増えた感がある。
それより問題なのは、ダウンロードしたファイル名が変更されてしまう不具合がある。
日本語の濁音、半濁音は全て濁音なしになる。
例）「が」→「か」、「ペ」→「へ」
通常は起こりえない変換なので、意図的にやってるとしか思えない。
記号や句読点、果てはカンマやピリオドもすべて消える。
保存されるファイル名は全て使い物にならない。
また、サイトによってはダウンロードできなくなる。

悪いことは言わないので、Ver.8.2.2.8を試して欲しい。
これは上記の不満がすべて解消される素晴らしいアドオンだ。
Ver.9は使い物にならないが、8.2.2.8ならきっと素晴らしいネットライフを送れるはずだ。

cuando la extension era (obsoleta ) o nueva era mas facil con el auxiliar que se descargaba y ahora que "mejoro" en su ultima updated al parecer empeoro.
es triste ver que las cosas las dañan por intereses de "cualquier indole$" per deberian retirar la marca de agua que aparece al descargar los videos.
si dañan la alicacion lo mas probale es que se preparen para archivarla.
amo la aplicacion pero cuando comienzan los desarrolladores a cometer errores en contra del usuario .... es cuando toca abandonarlos.

Ruining a good app. A hopeless layout, disturbing pop-up side bar (i dont know how back to download in menu icon) and useless download application that creates many problems. There is no history in browser!, you can't go to the file, you can't see when you download it in browser etc. The application is currently too annoying, so I decided to use another one.

I remember it working quite well, now it has a qr code covering approximately 1/6th of the video. It looks like it now requires a $30 fee to remove the QR code, which probably not worth it for my usage cases.

Tem que ter um app secundário para baixar o vídeo, mas em vez de estar disponível pela loja segura ele pede pra baixar do site deles. Pode ser seguro mas por ser muitos passos já não é um app vídeo downloader.

This once was the king of all add-ons. With the latest updates there are major errors especially with the companion app, which leaves this add-on no longer usable across many platforms. Too bad.

New version is broken, should revert back to old one that works and used to be good. Download links not shown or unable to copy URL. Updates are meant for new functions or more ease of use, not making everything broken and unusable. Please double check before releasing something that doesnt even work. If it doesnt work please revert back to the old version.

als ze werkt is het een mooi ding, maar er zijn meer problemen met deze addon dan dat ze werkt. en ik kan begrijpen dat men sommige video's beveiligt en dat de manier van handelen eerst moet achterhaald worden, maar als ik betaal voor een licentie zou ik graag hebben dat ze werkt naar behoren en niet "SOMS"
