This is a VERY helpful add-on. I use it almost everyday for editing & capturing videos. What I love about it is how fast it downloads a video. If your a huge video editor I recommend it to all. You'll find yourself saving a whole lot of time when regularly, you'd just be sitting there waiting for your download to finish. Thank you for this add-on!

After I got frustrated, I tried this one, which I thought that it would only convert the wmv. Boy I was wrong when I saw that it can convert into many different formats, even for ipod. This is an excellent addon that will save your time.

No, it also works on Linux, Mac and all other systems. You just have to install ffmpeg by yourself while on Windows we provide our own build.
posted 9 years agoI have been using this app for some time now. It has got better and better. Easy to use and now even thinks for you! Right hand click on the 3 ball icon will give you all the options you would ever need. Highly recommended.

Couple it with a good converter program, and you can add your downloads to your cellphone or other media players. A must-have add-on!

Rated 5 out of 5by mihai2k, 9 years agoI have been using this for several months now and I can't believe all of the great things I've been able to download using this app. I have tried the conversion so that I could add videos to my Zune, but I find the watermark too distracting. If the quality of the conversions was better, I might consider paying for the program just to avoid the watermark. The program was easy to install and adjust settings, and it downloads a variety of formats. This is an excellent and valuable app. Thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5by FireFoxAdmirer, 9 years agoSo gut die Hauptfunktionen des Downloadhelpers auch sind, leider ermöglicht dieses Tool einen unmittelbaren Zugang zu Webseiten, die nicht jugendfrei sind. Der Downloadhelper wird jedoch in vielen Foren angepriesen, (Musik, Gitarre, Spiele, Sport) obwohl viele Besucher dort minderjährig sind.
Solange die Filterfunktion nicht versteckt wird (und statt dessen beispielsweise durch ein Shortcut ersetzt wird, den minderjährige nicht so leicht herausbekommen, wie einfach ein Häkchen zu setzen), kann man das Tool, so gut es auch ist, nicht unbedenklich weiterempfehlen.

The various support forums have essentially no information, or are completely outdated/no longer supported. One page I ran across even said DH is no longer supported by its authors, and directed me to the knowledge base. Well, the last post in the knowledge base is almost a year old (June 08.) I just want to find a way to roll back the updates to the excellent working version from about a month ago.
