Since the last upgrade of this extension, every time I start FireFox I get the downloadhelper "splash screen" url http://update.downloadhelper.net/update.html "Congratulations !
You just updated DownloadHelper".
This is extremely annoying. How to I turn off this splash screen loading everytime I start firefox? Otherwise, its a fantastic extension. Just extremely annoying since last update.Rated 4 out of 5by Nige, 9 years agoDeveloper response
It is unlikely to be a DownloadHelper problem. Just disable DownloadHelper from menu Tools/Addons to verify you still have the problem. Users reporting this issue almost always had their browsing session being restored by Firefox. Try exiting Firefox gracefully (from menu File/Quit) and restart it. If it does not work, check the startup parameters from Firefox preferences.

- it should be possible to edit a current item in the list
- when importing there should be a list where the user can select which items should be imported instead of dumping hundreds of items into my settings that are useless for me

As a free program, it has been invaluable in capturing videos of songs I've needed to study and learn. Combined with other freeware for playback and conversion, DownloadHelper has proved itself over and over again. To the developers.. Bravo and THANK YOU!

I was just a little frustrated. This add on has always worked for me with just a little quirkiness. I was disappointed that after I installed the converter, logo or not, it didn't work. I do think it would be fair to tell people up front about paying for the converter for extra benefits. If it worked I'm sure people would gladly pay a little, or not, what do I know. I'm not sure your add on belongs here though since you're charging for extra functionality. Still great add on. Thanks for the work.
