  • i wouldn't use this. yes, it does download videos fine but it uses to much space for instance when i download it with another add on it's only 11.6MB for the video and with this one its 55.8MB!!! it;s insane! and thier the same video being downloaded!

    Sorry to say but it's a complete non-sense.

    Video DownloadHelper gets the file exactly as it is on the original server. If it's 11MB on the server it will be 11MB on your disk.

    You can use our converter to re-encode the downloaded video to whatever format. Then depending on the parameters you will have chosen you will get a smaller or bigger size depending on the quality and format you asked for.

    Doe zo verder, en wie weet wat er nog gaat volgen in de toekomst. Iedere nieuwe versie haal ik met plezier binnen.

  • I hate it. It's obtrusive, non-intuitive to use, and I cannot even turn it off without force-quitting Firefox. What a horrible add-on. Dump this thing fast. I already have.

    You can turn DownloadHelper off as any other Firefox addon: you must disable or uninstall it and restart the browser.

  • Could you please use standard icon sizes? Especially when using small icons, the title bar and status bar icons mess up the layout. Remove the drop down icon, and adjust the size/spacing to make it fit properly, and make it display the popup menu on click.

    Other than that, a very good addon.

    Fill free to add details there.

    Also, note that as a temporary workaround, you can uncheck parameter 'Detect Youtube HQ' from the preferences, section 'Capture', tab 'YouTube'.
