Absolutely the best downloader I have used. So easy even for an almost 70 year old. Thanks so much for this wonderful product and all the updates!!

これは使えないアドオン。
ようつべの動画を表示させてダウンロードしてみたものの、何十個落とした動画の中身は全て同じ内容という有様。
翌日にはダウンロードが一瞬で終わり、動画は保存されなくなった。
設定をいじったりブラウザを再起動させた後もやはり同じで、その時点から同じ動画ばかりが保存されることになる。
日中韓にチェックを入れていても動画のファイル名は元動画の名前が反映されない。
ダウンロード作業に費やした数十時間が無駄に終わった無意味なツールといえよう。

I love this software.... It's excellent, I've been able to create quite a collection of my favourite clips from various sources, not only youtube. BIG THANK you to the developers of download helper!!!

Been using this for over a year and have had no problems, viruses, etc. It's by far my favorite download program.

recommended preferences to speed things up:
users should uncheck the services: MP3tunes and Tweeter.
download mode-> normal, and while you are there also set the download location to your desktop.

capture->youtube,
in the list below add more video formats such as [HQ37] and you can also add 3gp source to download (for cellular phones),
also remove the check from Preserve YouTube file names (CJK),
this will fix some problems and help you to avoid that extra menu in the right click in Firefox's context menu

I installed Video DownloadHelper on my laptop, and I got a trojan with mine too. In fact, I disabled the add-on until I could sufficiently clean my system with anti-virus tools. Then, I enabled it again a few weeks later and got the same trojan again within minutes. I am going to remove it and make sure I got it from the Firefox site as the developer cautioned in a previous reply. If I mistakenly installed a scary infected knock-off instead of the real thing, that would explain the problem. The bad news is that it was probably the first thing that came up in a Google search for the add-on and is capitalizing on the popularity of the original.

this extension has become an advertisement for their $30 "video converter" service/software, as was likely the goal when development began. what started out as a good, relatively small video download tool with a goofy icon has now become a bloated, shareware advertising video tool suite... with a goofy icon.

La idea es descargar el video del cache, no redescargarlo... después de un rato se deshabilita la opción de descargar del cache y mas tarde se deshabilitan todas las opciones sin haber cerrado la pestaña del donde se cargo el video... ¿?

I used to have no trouble with this, but recently i have not been able to convery FLV videos, when it tries to attempt to convert a black screen, with writing appears, but is only idle, and never successfuly converts the file. I have not found a fix to this, and am confused by this. But had excellent life, hence no negative reviw.

Is it possible to improve VDH and make the download queue sortable?

I mean if 10downloads are in queue and I want last added download to be first download then can it be done.

Excelente complemento, me agrada el poder descargar de los sitios más populares, además la integración con ffmpeg muy buena; ofrece una gran cantidad de opciones.

I have downloaded Firefox. But have not been successful in downloading the Video DownloadHelper. Whenever I click the "download" button, it redirects back to requesting a download of the Firefox software.

There isn't a "add to Firefox" button as per instruction anywhere to be found on the add on page.

What's the next step?

I...love it. I've found some sites that i can't download the video from if you click on the molecule *teehee* but that was easily bypassed. -no hacking-
May I offend to say that I would gladly hump the developer('s/s) leg(s).

This is a great add-on.. I had no problems with it and it has helped a lot. I think its a bit expensive though, especially considering that some sites have it set up so download helper doesn't recognize the actual video and instead you can only grab the commercial at the start. like http://www.bet.com/video/285230
I found no way to get around that.

BUT it IS a great add on nonetheless
