This is a great add-on for raiding mp3 blog archives.

its really good for downloading... although not applicable for all downloading... thanks download helper! its really helping me a lot specially in youtube.. more power to developer!

It works...BUT....it causes some minor issues with Firefox 3.6. Enabling the addon disables the ability to open another Firefox window....and when you close Firefox, Windows task manager will report that Firefox service is still running even though its closed.

Its really good.

MP4 "icon" shows right in You Tube window under links...I have had no problems playing these downloads. I have had nothing but trouble with Download Helper...seems it used to work a lot better. The more they update it, the less success I have.

While the developer here says this is free, when I check it in my add-ons manager it says i need to register. I click on register and am taken to a page asking for $28 dollars!

Great addon. I'd like to donate money, but I can't afford it at this time. It's certainly worth it, and once my finances are straight, this is on my short list for supporting software.

So I mostly use it to download videos and watch them on my PSP. I select mp4 with number 18 but it only works like half of the time. They other half say "format not supported". Can you add "PSP-optimized" format to the next version or fix the problem in current version?

This addon is bugging firefox. Most of sites with video content (like gamespot.com) will not play videos all the time you acces them and needs refreshing page.

For example," http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMjgzNTk5NzI=.html", at this page where there is a 122mins video embeded in it, but "Video DownloadHelper" only downloads 7mins of it from the start of the video.
So I use some software else to detect that page, there are 18 segments of the whole video URLs shown at last.
Please improve it.

Excellent, genial. Each new update is even better than the previous one. Excellent localization. Has always worked for me. Easy and intuitive. Excellent.

... there seem to be very frequent small updates, which is a bit annoying. It is great when a software is constantly updated, but a few times per year should be enough, if it's not an important security update.

If you finde the icon annoying, it can be turned off in the options.

Oh, and if you want to convert Youtube Videos to mp3, there's also a freeware tool around which can do that nice and easy (just search on google for "Youtube 2 mp3" or so). Should you want to convert videos, there's also a free tool called "Super".

Watch out for this item unless you want trouble.

It was a GREAT app until the money hungrey mothers started charging for it! DON'T TOUCH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are HEAPS of other apps that do an EVEN better job FREE!!!

I have noticed some bugginess with audio tracks sometimes. As soon as the track finishes loading the Downloadhelper icon goes gray. Just refresh the page and it's back. Not enough to lose a star. Thank you!
