IF YOU HAVE DOWNLOAD HELPER, open its preferences up, go to the capture tab, then the black list sub-tab and add youtube.com in it. FIXED. 100% FIXED. NEVER FAILED. THIS IS THE PROBLEM. VOTE THIS UP. This is the only problem. No need to disable, uninstall or make any other changes. This IS a downloadhelper problem. Please try this out and vote yes because I want this to help people and there are tons of people with this problem. And I say to you good day sir.

this addon is hella helpfull and awesome. I am totally biased. Plan on donating money every other month. Its simple enough to use but customizable to my needs. Wish the converter was free so I didn't have to pay for it.

Works great for me. I never had a lot of bug issues. Use this in conjunction with McAfee's web site blocker (or other safety site program).

HATED it. Never worked right. I switched to 1 click YouTube, and NEVER had a problem since.

It has stopped working on YouTube, you can only download a small swf file now. Not sure why or if YouTube is using a new format.

when it started, it works great!
but sometimes, if the video is running some seconds, then the downloadhelper-button in the Navigation Toolbar is deactivated and i can't download this movie-file.

200 Downloads ohne Probleme. Sehr zufrieden.

Excellent! I've used this now for 100 downloads in about one month with no problems at all. I'm running Ubuntu and Firefox 3.5.8

why i cant use it anymore
i been having it for a year and now it just bam stopped working altogether
please guys work on it i know its a free addon so i don't get to complain but this was my favorite
and if possible REMOVE THE ADULT VIDEO SEARCH IT'S A CURE

Since Firefox 3.6, if having a saved sesion with multiple tabs, when starting FF, DH simply hangs the tabs (even freezes) to load, resulting in a FF startup time of extra tens of seconds. I had to disable the addon and everything is back to normal. It It may be due to a conflict with other extension, but DH is certainly a fault. It`s bad since a lot of people use this addon and they may mistakenly put the guilt on FF`s slowness insted of DH`s.

It NEVER downloads from the cache here (FF 3.6 + Proxomitron)

download helper is a very useful .i made many downloads in the last 2 years. it is a must for every firefox user,to enjoy the full value of net

I love this addon. It is easy to use, i go to a page with content i want to download. i click an icon in my menubar. it gives me save options, and i download it. it is easy to tell what pages it will work on as well.

I will continue to use this add on, and so should you.

I agree that this is a very useful tool, but there is also a downside: it wrecks video streaming in HTPC's (home theater pc's) in both Silverlight (Netflix) and Flash (Hulu etc.), but especially in Flash.

Tested on several systems using both WinXP and Win7. Every few seconds the video 'hiccups' in synch with the rotation of VDH's animated toolbar icon.

We have it installed for when we want to do a download, but it's disabled until needed.

OMG, this addon is really awesome, I've been using for a year, no complaints at all....

It's a great add-on but it doesn't work on myspace anymore.Does anyone know of any new tools that will rip videos from myspace?

A must have when it comes to add-ons. VDH not only that it can help you get music from sites like last.fm, youtube, facebook, but it also converts the file to your needs.
