Must be upgraded to work with FF4 Beta 2, 3 and other upcoming versions.

It will let you download almost any embedded video on the internet. The only problem is some video sites make you guess which video you want to download from a list of nondescript names (like 12442.flv or 18489.flv which one do I want?), click on the wrong one and you can download the wrong file. I've found ad blocker and no script plugins to help with stopping some of these incorrect files. The videos are exact duplicates of the source, so top marks for that. You can queue up a long list of videos and let them download in the background and you can set it to download 1 at a time, 2 at a time, 3 at a time ect. so you can slowly download videos over an extended period. It takes longer this way but instead of using up all your bandwidth with simultaneous downloading you and other people can still use the internet (well unless your internet is really slow or you have a really good connection to the server, I never get my full 6 mb/s download saturated by a single source). Overall it more than makes up for its shortcomings with the power it gives.

It's still a must have. It works on almost every Tube or not Tube site. Sadly, it's not working on Fx 4.0 Beta 3, but i am sure the developer works on it :) The only thing I have to critisize, is the icon of this addon. It has weird padding and is not in line with other icons of the browser. I hope this get fixed some day.

This add on is so amazing! I had some problem with it at first but after I got the hang out it, I download so many video on youtube and other sites.Quality of videos downloaded are 10/10. I would give this function a 10/5 star.

Download helper is very helpful in many ways. I use it quite a bit, for everything from youtube to vimeo. Very recommended.

Fluent tool, it allows me to ask for and get what I want. Please contribute vast amounts of money, so the team can extend the scope of the tool to the most exotic web sites.

This is really excellent - especially the easy ability to select format. What I do is use AlwaysonPC to download directly to my Dropbox folder - which performs super fast since it's going to the cloud (not to my device). Then after it sync's I can access it directly from my Laptop, or my iPhone, or my iPad any time.
Caveat: The conversion feature didn't work for me - Seems that the conversion software for Linux was not installed - I've made a request to see if I can get it installed...

Makes downloading of hundreds of images/videos a piece of cake, easily recommend for anyone to use this add-on, it's free dammit!

DownloadHelper gave me a pop-up for my 100th download thru it!! very nice add-on and utility. the best i should say for downloading any kind of multimedia content that you wish to from a page.

but too many options to understand what's going on. would be better if they were organized better or made much simpler instead of all the options popping out all the time. doesn't affect usability but affects aesthetics.

Seems like the last of the updates have eliminated a lot of mp4 options for YouTube. Not sure if it's a YouTube thing or that this addon isn't seeing them, either way, very disappointing....

We don't only demand FF 4.0 Beta add-on implementation but to pre3 if possible as well.

As soon us get it functional, sooner we will be able to migrate for new version, beta 2 already support webm' fullscreen playback, so it should be the main target's implementation priority.

That's generally a good add-on, but there are still some small, but irritating problems - e.g. the Video DownloadHelper is still loosing the download directory settings, which was supposed to be fixed in the 4.7.2 version. It's impossible to change the download directory.

great add-on!! i strongly recommend this to whoever wants to download videos/image galleries from a webpage. You can trust this program, downloads the files, without losing from their integrity and it works nice with download tweak manager. From my opinion these two addons match perfectly for creating a download manager inside your internet browser.
