- by BeanieBaby, 3 months agoRated 4 out of 5Hai i really like using your add on for twitch however when i have it on i notice that if im watching a stream and if i right click on a new one to open in a new tab it will just reload and reload the stream and never load it. I can hear it but not see it and it only does that when this add on is enabled so any suggestions on what i can do to fix? i also find it funny how it only does this on firefox and no other browser for me but i like using firefox so id love a fix.
Developer responseposted 3 months agoHi, I use Firefox and I just tried watching one stream and opening another with right click open in new tab, then went to the new tab and the stream played. I'm not sure what the problem could be. The only thing I can think, is it's something to do with the video auto-play setting. In the Firefox settings, if you go to General, then Permissions, then look for Autoplay. I have my default set to Block Audio, but you could try something different to see if it works. If that doesn't work, it could be this extension conflicting with another, causing the issue, but you would need to play around with disabling them to work out which. Hope this helps

Developer responseposted 3 months agoHi, there's no reason for this extension to cause that. It doesn't touch anything chat related. Most likely this was a connection issue either with the Twitch chat servers or your internet.
- by gunnar90, 4 months agoRated 4 out of 5In general a very good blocker and works great for the vast majority.
Occasionally the stream is stuck in "buffering" during the entire (I assume) ad period however, and then returns to the broadcast afterwards. Don't know if this has to do with the "Try for 1080p ad-free stream" or not.
Developer responseposted 4 months agoHi, if you usually watch in a quality less than 1080p, turn off the "Try for 1080p ad-free stream" toggle setting and then you won't get buffering. It will then be 480p only when an ad shows, but return to normal after the ad ends. Thanks
- by Firefox user 16643873, 5 months agoRated 4 out of 5Very good extention, but I have one small issue with it : when you open multiple twitch tabs, then switch on one of them, you will get the stream of when you opened that tab ( delayed ) rather than the stream that happends right now and you need to reaload the page manually or wait for the stream to "jump" back to present which does a cut depending on how long ago you opened that tab, and it kinda annoys the viewing experience ( still better than ads however )
is it possible to change that aspect of the addon or am I the only one getting this issue ?
edit to answer dev : So I did some testing by opening tabs of games with a game timer in it to see how long the delays were ( with scroll wheel button I opened a bunch of dota 2 tabs where you can see the game timer )
I tried disabling every autoplay options in BBTTV but the streams are still getting delayed when I switch to their tab ( not just an ad duration but I tested 2+ mins for example and the stream was delayed by 2 mins ) I also tried disableing your add-on and only keeping Ublock origin and the delays were gone.
edit 2 : it used to work just fine but I think one of the updates might have cause this delay issue because I didn't initially had it
Developer responseposted 5 months agoHi, I tried testing this by opening 4 Twitch tabs using right click "open in new tab", then clicked on a random tab and it played the correct stream at the correct time. Do you have auto-play as blocked? As that would help as it wouldn't attempt to load the stream until you enter the tab. It could also be a bug, where one of the tabs tries to play an ad when you open it and pauses the timestamp until you enter the tab. A quick pause/play should correct any delay though.
