Compatibility update request regarding FFx v17 Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Now is the time to ask for support in VertTabBar regarding FireFox v17.

can you please update the add-ons for 8.* Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Hi, I try to use the vertTabbar, it looks great, but can not work on 8.0 beta, can you fix this problem ?

Please add support for FF4 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thank you for this great extension! Screen utilisation is essential to me. Please make this extension available for FF4. I'm willing to donate for your efforts.
A great improvement would be a hotkey to hide/show the vertical tabbar. I have installed "Hide Tabbar" for this, but it is also not supported for FF4.
Most web pages have fixed width. Modern displays have plenty of unused space on the left and right side. Tabs on top are a waste of the precious vertical space. Even when I have many tabs open, with VertTabbar the tabs are still readable.

Great program. Two things would make it perfect:

1. Adjustable text (justify tab text left rather than center, change font size, etc)

2. Allow the scroll wheel on the mouse to let you scroll through the tabs. I would use that constantly.

Small issues. 4 stars. Much needed add-on. Thank you!

Behavior with other extensions Rated 4 out of 5 stars

- Hide Tabbar has some problems with VertTabbar, the mouse pointer responsive area stays horizontally in the same position when the tabbar goes vertical, and also it only autohides in fullscreen mode, in normal window mode, you have to reach status bar to hide the vertical tabbar. But some people may find this useful.
- Autohide Tabbar works as expected, with a vertical mouse responsive area, however, as you cannot control the thickness of this area in pixels and the narrow strip that remains when the normal horizontal tabbar is hidden, doesn't appear in vertical position, if the sides of the window are not on the screen border (minimized windows, or vertical OS taskbars), toggling the taksbar with the mouse pointer becomes annoying.
- VertTabbar causes a mess if Tabs on Top extension is used.
- Also, if you use Hide Caption Titlebar Plus with max-min-close button set enabled, and Hide Menubar or disablemenu extensions, the vertical tabbar draws a white vertical strip, the width of the button set, thickening the tabbar, no matter the side of the screen you place it. The strip sometimes appears and dissapears with disablemenu.

EXCELLENT extension! Exactly what i need.

VertTabbar + Bartab + TabmixPlus + Sessionsaver = perfect tab experience and how Firefox SHOULD be. Although now that i think about it, i'm not sure why i still have tabmix :-\

Compatible with Autohide Tabbar Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It turns out that Autohide Tabbar is actually resonably compatible with VertTabbar. It's not perfect, but it works.

Ability to hide Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Very useful. I have a notebook with a small wide screen. This allows me to see 14 tabs at a time instead of 8, and to better use space of wide screen. On some websites, the width of notebook screen is to small, so a auto-hide would be great. Or a partially auto-hide (showing only the tabs favicon).Thank you for this nice addon

Dynamic width needed Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Most needed: Width changed from front end. Preferably by dragging border. Or, if that's too difficult: A click of a button to change from full width to very narrow (30 px, say).

It is a great extension for wide screens. However, it makes a UX issue, especially on notebooks with two finger emulation.
Imagine that you open a new tab on the background. The new tab is not displayed on the screen, because there is not so much space on the screen. If you don't have VertTabBar, you are nofified by FAT (fade ynathing technique): http://q3.cz/images/64ff_tab_highlight.png If you have verttabbat, you are not notified.

One of my favorite extensions. Hard to improve upon since other extensions like Multiple Tab Handler work well with it. Should be standard functionality in Firefox.

I love it. A good solution to the atrocious tab appearance FF has under Ubuntu. Very clean and simple. Seems to get along great with the "Super Tab Mode" extension too. Perfect for wide screens. 5 stars! Thank you.

This is exactly what I've been looking for; well almost. I saw a different version with large icons but this probably works better for my particular needs. Works great.

Lots of options. It definitely cleans up the wide screen. Works with 3.6.3

I love this *almost* as much as tab kit.

I dearly miss the "close all below" and "close all above" buttons, otherwise does exactly what I desire out of this plugin

Chris, thank you for revising this to work with FF 3.6. I would never have used it with my old CRT monitor, but with my new wide-screen LCD monitor, I didn't hesitate installing it. I really enjoy it. Thanks of the URL link.

Hacked for FF 3.6 ! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I love this addon!
Vertical tabs are so great, it should be a standard feature.

Too bad this addon is still not being updated. So I hacked it to make it compatible with Firefox 3.6. I changed nothing else, just the version compatibility check. I have used it with FF 3.6 for about two months now without any problems. You can get it here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3980665/verttabbar-2.8.1-3.6ed.xpi
