It is really helpful for testing.

Really good Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Probably there are better extensions as the other users say, but I'm satisfied and I got used to working with this one very fast. Yes there are no instructions but this only image shows enough. All options are comprehensible and the design is intuitive. It does what I need to do.

Nothing like the Chrome user-agent switcher plugin, the latter allowing user agents to be selected based on URL patterns etc.

Works great, could use more built-in UA strings Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It works well. Getting it setup initially takes some time, since you have to hunt around to find the various User-Agents that you're interested in. Also would be nice to include an indicator icon to remind you when the extension is active.

Is there any way to let it choose random?

@flippy Don't post your own problens like an idiot..... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

@flippy Don't just sit there like an idiot once you can't find how to operate

Go to the add-on's suuport page

e-mail the developer

Go look in "customize" and you will see a button.

Everything doesn't have to be in the menu to be usable.

User Agent Switcher Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Useless add-on. It does not add an icon to your menu bar. No instructions, not anything at all to operate. So unless you're already a pro, don't touch this thing.

Klasse !! Empfehlenwert !! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

....ziemlich cool !

Doesn't work with pipelight on Debian Linux (Ubuntu) Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Has a rare bug that causes Netflix to Error N8109. bug hasen't been resolved for a while.. so I'm using User-Agent Overrider until further notice.

Work out-of-box on FF 31 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

No idea why there are negative reviews. It works out-of-box for me on Mac/Win with FF 31.

Kept turning itself off - defeating the purpose Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Kept turning itself off, or back to the default (my true user agent string) which defeated my purpose.

Not only didn't work, it locked up my browser Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Tried to reset the UA string via this utility. Then tried to enter FF options to clear cookies and cache as is recommended. Browser locked. Had to kill it with the Program Manager. Repeat sequence - results in locked browser. Had to remove the utility then reboot to get rid of this problem. As another user noted, there is no general.useragent.override in my config:about settings. 0 stars for software that is not updated but still has a request for payment.

The separately loaded strings for additional browser options are (1) hard to find, it's not obvious this is needed and (2) is NOT up to date - it stops at FF 25. That doesn't help when trying to force Hotmail to accept that my FF is actually up to date because the latest version is 31. I don't know how out of date the rest of the entries are, but I'm sure none of the other browser choices are any better.

BTW, going into about:config and creating the entry general.useragent.override and setting it to Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.0 works perfectly to get me into hotmail without getting those stupid overlook errors (MS doesn't recognize ESR release as valid release and assumes hotmail won't work with it - even though it does). So - this is a case where doing it by hand saves a lot of time and effort when compared to trying to use an out-of-date utility. (creating a specific list entry in this utility to make up for the fact that the .xml file with browser UA strings is also out of date did not result in success, as there is something wrong in this utility that bolluxes the entire browser)

doesn't work on my mac

Useful and functional add-on! But, one suggestion!! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Really good extension.
A must have, if you want to increase anonymity.

Suggestion: Make last choice "permanent" between sessions (if desired).

Thank you!

Indispensable! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Indispensable! That's it.
