I can confirm that bit.ly no longer appears to function with UrlbarExt. I suspect it may have something to do with bit.ly having moved their api from http://bit.ly/api (I don't know where they've moved it).

Is there any chance of an update to restore bit.ly functionality and perhaps add it's sister site j.mp? It would also be good to have the option to able to use my own username and APIKey with them.

Not able to create a tiny url [410: Gone] Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Since a couple of weeks the bar isn't able to use bit.ly anymore (this happened before I've switched to FF 4 and afterwards). I always get the message "Not able to create a tiny url [410: Gone]" though the bit.ly-website is working normal andd other URL shortener (e.g. Cutefox) work without problems with bit.ly. Can I fix this?

TinyURL doesn't work Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I'm using FF4 now, and the TinyURL feature doesn't seem to work. When I click on it, nothing happens. Anyone else has this problem in FF4?

could be a great program Rated 3 out of 5 stars

good tool with lots of potential, yet, missing vital help information about features such as configuring proxy services (many that are included don't work) and 'grippy' function.

Most useful extension ever! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've used this since a very early version and it is absolutely awesome. Originally I only used the URL shorteners but I've started using everything. Won't be using twitter though... That's a little baffling... Thanks and keep up the good work!

Is it broken? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I'm having no luck getting this add-on to work today. Not sure how long it's been since I used it successfully, but can't be more than a week or so. It's in my top 3 must-have add-ons, hope it's fixed soon...unless it's just me?

On a side note, it could use better instructions on how to manipulate the add-on features, for the novice. like adding a different url shortener.

IMPORTANT Security Information Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Google has issued a Safe Browsing Advisory for the top level domain hosting phproxy.org (ok.pe).

http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/ok.pe

IMO this DOES NOT REFLECT ON on UrlbarExt or necessarily on phproxy.org. Just a heads up for the developer and fellow users.

UrlbarExt provides useful features, is highly/easily configurable and has worked flawlessly without interfering with Firefox and/other extensions (100+ installed).

Tiny / Untiny Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Wonderful addon, one of my favorites. In addition to MAKING a TinyURL, it also needs the reverse functionality, like the UnTiny addon

Really love the Up, Search Site, and URL Shortener! I was wondering if there's anyway to make the icons more visible. I especially use the Search Site function the most and that little magnifying glass is barely visible on my screen!

Love this addon One thing i'd like to see though it may be hard, is integration of the new goo.gl URL shortner, no public API yet, however there is a boomarklet here - http://www.marklets.com/Bookmarklets/goo.gl%20bookmarklet.aspx that gets the job done. Perhaps with a slight tweak this could be made to work from within URLbarEXt ?

Great Extension, But... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I highly suggest anyone using this to remove the entries for the Phproxy. That will eliminate the URL redirects, 404 not found and FBI notice pages that can sometimes happen by mistake. Especially removing the - kikoolol.memepasmel.net proxy will save you some trouble. When I accidentally enabled the proxy function it turned the page I was reading into lol/net-speak. I thought I was going crazy or that Cnet (the article I was reading at the time) had hired a drunk monkey with the brain of a 10 year old to write their articles. Goto add-on options and select hide Phproxy on the main settings page. Then in the Phproxy tab, in add-on options, just delete the entire list of supplied proxies as most don't work or will redirect webpages - resulting in the page content being changed.
