Essential add-on letting you change default FF settings that should be available through options panel by default. It's a big shame FF developers do not include a mechanism to change such basic setting.

Like Iccarus I too have made a new version of this extension. Unlike him though I have totally rewritten it, keeping functionality the same. Please have a look at: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/9201/

Continuation Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Awesome addon, but due to incompatibility issues with the later versions I have Continued Gomyoung Kim 's great work at: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/9094

Where it works for 3.0.* and also the options panel has been changed to allow clicking again in the text boxes.

My only goal there is to provide compatibility updates only, without changing any functionality.

P.S. Gomyoung Kim, if you disagree with this in any way, please just say so and I will remove my continuation mod from the site...

Actually, you only need to open the .xpi file, edit the install.rdf file within and put :
3.0.*
in place of :
3.0

Then you will be able to install the addon again and it works...

For lost capo Rated 1 out of 5 stars

UPDATE: Doesn't work in 3.0.1 :-( Someone has a solution?

Took me a few minutes but now I get it!:-) You have to install 0.3.7 version provided by sperenz55 and then go to about:config, into filter put url and at the bottom of the page are all the suffixes you can change - without the extension installed they're not there. Originally I thought sperenz55 wrote two alternative ways but it's all one manual ;-)

Works in 3.0RC1 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I found version 0.3.6 here and got it to work by editing the install.rdf file and changing the maxversion line. It works perfectly and is exactly what I needed!

Love it on PC, but on my Mac it basicallty stops making my "Command + something"shortcuts work. Which means command+return doesn't work, neither does command + shift + return. shit + return works just fine though so I'm guessint it's a Mac specific issue.

Is this add-on still supported ? The website of the creator doesn't exist anymore. I'd love to see a fix for this.

Nice add-on, but Rated 4 out of 5 stars

it has an annoying bug: if you leave prefix field blank, it automatically puts "www" before typed url. And if you leave suffix field blank it replaces it with "null" in address bar.

I have some often-visited communities and wanted to automate it with URL Suffix, but failed, because they have address pattern: username.site.com without "www" before username.

great addon..however.. Rated 4 out of 5 stars

thanks for a great addon, makes my life a tad easier..however I encounter a problem when I leave the suffix field blank..Im trying to use shift+enter for a wiki search with en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ as prefix and nothing as suffix, but it automatically fills in 'null' as suffix..can this be fixed somehow?

Thank You Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I work at a university, so being able to bind .edu to Shift+Enter is a great time saver!

It would be nice if additional shortcuts (such as Alt+Enter) could be created or overwritten.
