It gets a 5-star because it is awesome, even though there are some issues. Twitter may sign you out a few minutes after running this, and you have to restart FF to log back in. I think this is Twitter's doing with some cookies and not the plugin.
I have used this plug in to block everyone who follows well known and lesser known white supremacist accounts. The maximum it seems to block from one account's followers is up to 84988 (at least what i've seen so far), but that is a very good start.
You can run multiple instances in a few different tabs at the same time.
Actually I installed it because it was an interesting idea. And that is ! And it works, that's amazing but... When I do a block chain... Some minutes later I'm logged out from Twitter. And I can't log in again besides if I restart Firefox. I can't restart Firefox each time I do the block chain. I'll deactivated it for the moment. (And no way I use Chrome ! I always used Firefox and will always do)
Works most of the time, though I think that's a problem with Twitter and not this extension. I do wish it would let me block people that retweet or like a certain tweet instead of just the followers/following of a user. I think that'd be a much more precise way of blocking exactly the kind of people you want to block.
Latest version 1.8.0 appears to be broken (with twitter.com), only a small number of accounts are blocked even though the number found may be large. I suggest people download the older 1.7.0 version until this is fixed. For 1.7.0 I give this 4 stars, it's very useful, but there's a maximum that can blocked at once before hitting a Twitter rate limit (about 5000 or so). Unknown whether mobile.twitter.com is affected.
worked before twitters update (a few times it would error but it worked at least 4 star level overall) but i have removed and readded the extension and it stalls for a second but will bring an error without blocking anyone sadly. i do understand the nature of coding is tricky thus i can only drop one star and hope that its something ironed out here soon (given the update was only released yesterday as of writing)
