I will not recommend to use this extension.
Please, if you take privacy serious, then enlighten me why Turn Off the Lights uses this kind of cookies.
Understand me clearly, the extension you made is something I would love to keep using, if not for the placement of this kind of cookies. And I would endorse this extension if it would not set this kind of cookies.
I use a fresh install of Firefox in Linux Mint. When I installed Turn Off the Lights, I got the message about using cookies.
I just removed Turn Off the Lights and reinstalled is. Now I don't get the message about using cookies? Why is this?
Does or does it not place cookies?

That is not true!
We take privacy very seriously, the Turn Off the Lights Firefox extension does not track anything by cookie. Furthermore, the Turn Off the Lights browser extension is a free and Open-Source project:
