As a developer working with SSL websites, I came across a problem where if any resources on a page are not requested with HTTPS, the web browser would warn the user that the website is only partially encrypted. This can lead to a user losing confidence in the security of a website, particularly in the case of an online shop or application that deals with financial information. Usually the problem is only an image, CSS file or font but it can sometimes take time to find those, especially if they are buried in CSS files.
Having encountered this problem several times I decided to build a Firefox Addon to help quickly find those unsecured resources without having to trawl through HTML and CSS source files.
