Don't bother with this. If you are serious about browsing with Tor, the serious solution is the "Tor Browser bundle," available at the torproject.org website. It is a specially modified Firefox browser paired with Vidalia, literally 1-click to surf with tor and keep your "fingerprint" ( https://panopticlick.eff.org/ ) more anonymous than a normal browser. "Solutions" like this merely lure the unsuspecting or casual surfer into a false sense of security.

Add-on needs update for FF 5.0 Rated 1 out of 5 stars

as it seems, this add-on hasen't been updated for longer, I wanted to let you know, that this add-on is urgent for update to the current versions of Firefox 5.0 , 6-0 and 7.0a.

These tools would be a real benefit for us users as the sniffing of our national government here in Germany is on again. But with the current versions of FF 5.0, 6.0 and 7.0a this add-on doesn't work anymore. Please update. For so long until the update arrives, I will give it only one star for the bad update-service.

works Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I have only given this 4 stars because it could be improved. Mainly in the interface, but otherwise it works fine on Windows 7 64-bit with Firefox v3.6.1.7

A tip for anyone trying it out for the first time:
When entering the url of the website you want to visit into the TOR toolbar, DO NOT enter the "http://" or it will reply that it is not a valid web page/url. Simply put in "www." and then the webpage. This is because it automatically adds the "http://" to the beginning but doesnt check to see if you already have done it yourself.

Version mismatch? Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I'm using Firefox 3.6.3, I installed Tor-Proxy.NET Toolbar and upon rebooting the Options button (for Tor_Proxy...) is grayed out. Is there a version mismatch?

I created an account just so I could leave a review. The amount of stupidity of some people astounds me.

I installed this on version 3.0.5 and it works like it's supposed to, if it doesn't work with the newest version I can see that being a problem, otherwise most peoples reasons were ignorant.

But there are people who gave it a low rating for things like, it not working in China which is not the developers fault. It's also not his/her fault that it's slow, proxies are not usually very fast. It also does work with RapidShare, but even if it didn't, not many proxies work with it so that's a pretty stupid reason to give it a low rating.

Then some one mentioned the "Barracuda Web Filter," and said it was still blocking sites. Well go to Google Translate and enter the address you want to go to, and tell it to translate from whatever language you want to the one you read. It changes the URL to something with Google in the name which keeps the filter from blocking it.

Stop giving things bad reviews when it's a user malfunction, not a developer one.

Not recommended. :( Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I couldn't get this to work. All pages were coming up not found when I know that pages exist.

I'm running Firefox 3.5.6, in the United States. Nothing unusual. If I could give this 0 Stars I would.
