Is it broken for .html files? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It seems to work for .htm files but for .html files, it calls it filename.html.htm. You have go back and fix it. ;-(

More Information

I couldn't replicate this problem. If you could send me more information, by email, like pages where it happens and firefox version.

Works in Firefox 19 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This plugin restores the old right-click "save page" behavior to using the page file name, but adds "Title Save" to the right-click menu to save the page using the page title. Perfect.

Did Firefox 18 break TitleSave? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

i <3 Title Save and never understood why Firefox doesn't by default save filenames like *every* *other* *browser*, but now when the save as window comes up with the title as the filename and I click save nothing happens. Worked last week before Firefox 18 released. Tested with a clean profile, doesn't work now. Can the developer please provide an update?

Waiting Approval

You are correct. There were some changes to the save functions in the new Firefox version. I've uploaded a new version which is only for Firefox 18+ and it is waiting approval.

"Compatible with FF 3.5.x if you unzip it, update install.rdf so the max version is larger (I use 99.0), rezip to xpi then install by drag-and-drop to the add-ons window.

Thanks for the suggestion, it works like a charm and so-far safely in my case, :).

Must Use Context Menu (Title Save) Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thank the person a few places before me who mentioned you must use the context menu. This belongs in the Description and/or Long Description because it explains why some people think it doesn't work. I just about uninstalled it myself after trying it out. Great extension saves unbelievable amounts of time and RAM waiting for IETab to load.

Title print? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Hello, is it possible to have a "title print" for printing to a pdf file with the full title? Many thanks, great work!

Installed and Works! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I had been long frustrated with the inability to save web pages using the title of the page. I do a tremendous amount of online research. More often than not, the manner the pages would be saved provides no real description of the page itself. This extension removes this problem entirely. The only thing I would ask for, would be a means to set the default page extension to .html. The first page I saved, wanted to use .php instead. I'd rather have .html as the standard format.

You have to use the context menu item "Title Save" for it to work - ordinary save stays ordinary

Adding my note that the addon didn't work for me, either; it didn't have the IE info, nor the URL info.

I have FFox3.0.5 running on XP and Service Pack 3.

If you succeed in identifying the fault, could you also look at making it use the IE tag when saving as .mht single file, (as I have the unmht addon in FFox) and File Title doesn't show the IE tag for mht either.

not for Mac? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This doesn't work on a Mac running FF 3.0.1. File Title 1.3 does.

I prefer to use this extension than File Title, because Title Save is more flexible. :)

@gm, I tested your extension and I didn't understand it. To make the job, I prefer File Title 1.3.

What's the difference with the File Title extension (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/834) though?
