Finalmente achei um temporizador útil e simples.
I tried and it work pretty well.
The only small problem is the alarm sound is too low.
Yes, it works well except that in my case, the "seconds" part cannot be displayed.
I hope that the author of this software ensure that it can be fully displayed, in which case, it will have five stars from me.
то что нужно !
You just add it to Mozilla and it start working. The first time I installed I did not find it though.
I was looking for a very simple alarm-type reminder, "simple" because when you're looking for something to do precisely one thing and one thing only, a fcuk-ton of settings doesn't help, it actually gets in the way. So I was happy to find this one : set the time period to count down to and it notifies you when that period of time has elapsed. That's it and that's all.
That said, the WAY it notifies you is dismissively minimalistic. If the developer had chosen a more noticeable sound on his own, I would've had no complaints, but as the add-on stands, the very real possibility of the user not sitting right in front of the screen the second the time is up, combined with the VERY minimal single audio "ding" sound you get when time's up, makes it VERY easy to miss the notification if you're not focused (AND if you're not playing any music, even at low volume, AND if you're relatively physically close to the computer at that moment, etc.) What this is ABSOLUTELY missing is one… single… setting, and that would be a simple dialog to let the user choose his own notification sound. This would've been relatively easy to encode into the add-on, and would've changed it, for me and I'm sure for certain others, from almost useless to absolutely perfect. Even if the developer didn't want to go that far, all he had to do was choose a more intrusive sound than a single low-tone (pleasant even) note, like maybe a few loud beeps. Whatever. As it stands it's almost as if the notification is afraid to bother you too much and so just kind of gently nudges you. I'm 100% serious here : THE PURPOSE OF THIS ADD-ON IS TO GET YOUR ATTENTION, NOT TO TRY AND BE INCONSPICUOUS !
4 stars for the single purpose simple design, 1½ stars for how well (or not) it accomplishes that purpose, averages out to 2¾ stars, so call it 3 stars at best … though I'd round down instead of up, to 2½ stars, it it were available, because "free" doesn't automatically imply "not thought out"… better luck next time bro.
simple timer that does its job.
All I needed was a basic timer that would catch my eye from time to time, and this does the job. Thank you for your work.
thx for this addon, countdown timer, it shows an dialog box and windows "ding"sound. its good. would prefer if i can choose custom sound which would loop indefinatelly or certain time and if i can do some kind of snoozing
does the job
Is not compatible with Firefox 28.
Simple & easy to use.
Thank for this nice addon
It fails 1st time:
This is not fixed yet (just to make clear).
I made more tests:
1. after FF start - start TF08 - and works 1st time!
2. click on TF08 icon, enable same time => it fails by t/o right away.
3. click again - it works.
4. from now on it fails every other time! (unless FF restart).
Please send us an improved update. It is a great and useful add-on!
Please do not post bug reports in reviews. We do not make your email address available to add-on developers and they may need to contact you to help resolve your issue. See the support section to find out where to get assistance for this add-on.
All below were fixed; Thanks.
There is one problem: When I want to start timer (with a previous set time) it does not work right 1st time: it gives timeout right away! When I do it again, it works!
I have FF 3.6.3 and TF 0.8 (updated). (I remember it did not do this when I installed it 1st time)
Please fix it.
It's hard to distinguish between an active and an inactive timer.
Also the tooltip should be made understandable. Something like "137/500" is hard to understand. It would be better to show the remaining time, too.
After you install it make sure you right click the toolbar and add it to your toolbar as the authors website describes. It works fine.
This is a very good idea,it has helped me cut my leisure time to half.It is reccomended for all parents who want to check the time spent by child online.
TimerFox is a very basic timer. However, I found it "trying" as it did not have any in-progress/elapsed time display.
As previously said: Does what it claims !
Just drag the new toggle-button to your toolbar !
What I miss, is a optional visible countdown. For example a tooltip that shows the remaining time when I hover over the button. Because I use the small icon set, the icon changes are barely noticeable.
Can you alter it that you can have also an actual time as input ? (e.g. 23:15:00)
Going to use it !
Great add-on, it does what it claims to.
It would be even better with an audible alarm.
