...but it's not available for current versions of Firefox so I'm rating it low until it it's updated.
Cool, but no auto save when restarting the browser is a big let down. If it had that, 5 stars. As it is 3. It seem this project has been abandoned according to the latests version's release notes.
Please make an option to save strips automatically and sort them by date saved, search all saved, etc.
Important: If you have a grey/green strip that is left over after you try thumstrips, try to re-install noscript/adblock addons to get rid of this.
Would be nice to have automatic saving for each session.
Cool extension but needs shortcuts.
Opera uses a Tab to keep all the pages saved. Works great.
Looks cool, but I'm sick of EULAs. Thanks, but no thanks.
I love it! However, I do want to make note to STUPID people like PNDRAGON's posting on January 7, 2009: Read the description you stupid moron! It says that it works with Works with:
* Firefox: 2.0 – 3.1b3.
Next time, read before you give a rating.
Interesting but it would be nice having an option to put it on the right or left of the page area, in the bottom it consumes too much space for those of us who are using a 16:9 or 16:10 display.
It would be perfect if its made to fit inside an standard sidebar instead of a custome made frame, there are extensions who can make it appear anywhere you like, right, left, bottom, top...
Previously if I found a page that interested me I would leave it tabbed through successive restarts of firefox.
With this terrific pluggin I find those pages in a flash.
Excellent Addon. It would be AWESOME if one could switch from History ThumbStrips to TAB ThumbStrips, it would basically make the tab-bar and the new Ctrl+Tab extension (set for Fx 3.1) outdated!
Keep up the good work and please consider my idea!
One of the best tools that I use every day, and would recommend it to everyone.
love this addon. makes finding past pages MUCH easier!
This add-on is useful, however, I agree with Leria. The grey bar above the status bar occupies a large part of the screen.
Very useful add-on.
Leider kann man nicht einmal 0/5 Sternen eingeben: Viel zu umständlich, kompliziert und aufwändig!
But there is a problem with the latest version: it is causing the 'big grey bar at the bottom of the Firefox window below the status bar' to appear, which it didn't with the last version of Thumbstrips.
This is a huge problem, and needs to be fixed immediately.
Very nice addon but needs some improvements. It messes-up full screen view (strange top and bottom bars started to appear), and thumbnail algorithm could be better - when thumbnails are small their quality/readability is poor, when they are set big enough to get good readability they are too big. But all in all it's very good idea and gets browsing the web one step further :) I'm looking forward for next versions of this addon.
One major bug though - it seems that when I am running the addon YouTube videos are continuously interrupted (for a fraction of a second) during playback. That is very annoying - uninstalled the addon and the problem is not there anymore.
I totally didn't realize how useful this plugin was until I tried using Firefox (3)'s standard History menu. This plugin is ess/en/tial!
It is a nice idea, but while running minimized, Firefox was noticeably slower while scrolling through pages.
Never use this tool.It damages your browser appearance. It hardly uninstalls and there is no use for surfers while using firefox itself.
