Google image search INFINITELY superior 2 this boatload of KRAP! Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Button stuck @ far right & can't move it, & opens a bazillion separate tabs rather than combining results into a clear, easy page list or thumbnails 4 U, & totally irrelevant random search results, half of them blank start pages having nothing 2 do with your search, then bait-and-switch fraud scams like 123rf.com & others that claim 2 offer some forms of free images but they do not. This addon is jsut a collection of useless links, a SPAM DISTRIBUTOR peddling images, not a 'free' image finder = PATHETIC!

Response 2 this so-called 'developer's B.S.: Point by point destruction of thier lies...

""The main reason you should not use Google Image Search to find 'free' images is because it usually means you are stealing images,"

Just because U made an image does not mean U have copyright. It is a SERVICE U must purchase from the library of congress, & entails fees & submission & 'rent' 2 keep it on file. Blow it out your azz, freak. I knwo the law, & that is not even the point. It is a red herring tangent! The point is that YOUR so-called 'feee' image hosts R NOT! It is a bait-and-switch SCAM. It is false advertising FRAUD! Now, understandably, because people are not having to PAY for your addon, that naturally makes it below the FBI's $200 minimum investigation threshhold, so you can most certainly get away with your BAIT AND SWITCH FRAUD SCAM VOREVER, but I am not going 2 sit here & pretend it is something other than the B.S. that your scam is...

"Google usually does not know about (or care about) image licensing restrictions or the copyright of the image creators. Be VERY careful if you're using images found via Google image search as you may well be liable for prosecution"

ROFL!! 1'st of all, N E copyrighted material must note so in the material itself. This right away eliminiates almost 100% of all images online. U will notice that most PORN sites have their name clearly market with the copyright logo & all the rest, because they are selling loads of stuff for BUSINESS and do indeed track their copyRIGHTS that they have PURCHASED if U go around reselling 'stolen' pornos. Photos of a fuking cheese wheel from google search with no info on them R not going 2 get N E 1 in trouble & U know it. It is not enforcable because there is no watermark or logo or N E thing, so get bent. I know the law.

& what does this have 2 do with the fact YOUR product is nothing but a SCAM 2 peddle images for MONEY? NOTHING! You are just trying to change the subject & 'blame the user' ROFL!!

"if you do not obtain (or at least confirm) the licensing of any images you use from there. Their search engine has 'some' knowledge of possible allowances when using some settings in their advanced search (which is included in this tool) but it is not 100% correct all the time, YOU need to do the legwork."

Not some of the time, MOST of the time it gives IRRELEVANT results, and those images that ARE inline with teh search parameters pretend some versions R free, but I was unable to locate ANY that were. IT just goes in a runaround & when it comes time 2 download, it forwards U 2 beggar pages wanting your $ 4 the pictures, with no functial 'free' option even though they write text claiming it is free - no buttons or ways 2 download the 'free' $hit. YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY HIRED TO PIMP THESE FRAUD CLOWNS AND THEIR FALSE ADVERTISING OF 'FREE' STOCK IMAGES THAT ARE MOST CERTAINLY NOT FREE!

"The 'bait-and-switch' sites you are referring to are legitimate stock photography agencies,"

No, they are not. ANy so-called 'agency' running 'bait-and-switch' is most certanily NOT legitimate. I am not saying they don't make lots of money. This site is not legitimate. It is a scam...

http://users16.jabry.com/mysterygirl/vira.htm

You are nothing but a SCAMMER peddling SCAM SITES that pimp images for SALE and LIE in their pages pretending they have free ones. I was unable. Maybe not all, but most, and the remainder are not even forwarding 2 useful images regardless, but blank pages of random stock krap.

"who offer a small proportion of their library for free,"

NO THEY DON'T! GO TO BLABLA123 IMAGE SITE AND IT IS A FRAUD! Fux sake, clown EVERYTHING YOU SAY IS A LIE!! 123rf, 'ETC. U R nothing but a fuking SCAMMER & I am not going 2 waste N E more of my time pretending that U R N E thing other than a PATHOLOGICAL LIAR INCAPABLE OF DEALING IN FACTS! You may as well be telling me the sun rises in the West and the ice caps are growing bigger than all recorded history because of 'global warming' ROFL!!

Get a life, troll. Better yet, don't waste people's time, and remove this B.s. SPAMWARE from the Mozilla site =)

Bla bla bla more lies from teh scam-tard (yawn)....

" but will of course try and upsell you to their paid collection (which often have much higher quality, variety, and usually more relevant search results too).

I wrote a long post about finding and using free stock photos which you might like to read here: http://www.stockphotofeeds.com/free-stock-photos/ and an article about microstock (low cost stock photography) here: http://www.stockphotofeeds.com/what-is-microstock-photography/

There is NO spam or other malware in this addon, and while some of the links included may be out of date (I've not updated it for a while) I have made every attempt to ensure all included sites (some of which are searchable, many of which are only browsable) are safe to use and clear of any malware.

OP: Please educate yourself past your ignorance before you rate 1 star on an addon which only provides help to find images for free, in a field which do not understand well. Photographers are artists, and deserve to be compensated for their work, this addon is intended to get you to their free offerings, but the hope is that if you like and use their work, that you will eventually become a paying image licensor, rather than continuing to steal from google image search."

Using Google Image Search usually means you're stealing. Pay attention to the licenses

The main reason you should not use Google Image Search to find 'free' images is because it usually means you are stealing images, Google usually does not know about (or care about) image licensing restrictions or the copyright of the image creators. Be VERY careful if you're using images found via Google image search as you may well be liable for prosecution if you do not obtain (or at least confirm) the licensing of any images you use from there. Their search engine has 'some' knowledge of possible allowances when using some settings in their advanced search (which is included in this tool) but it is not 100% correct all the time, YOU need to do the legwork.

The 'bait-and-switch' sites you are referring to are legitimate stock photography agencies, who offer a small proportion of their library for free, but will of course try and upsell you to their paid collection (which often have much higher quality, variety, and usually more relevant search results too).

nice works as expected.

A fast way for searching free stock sites. All sites selected open in new tabs, so its just a matter of clicking on the tabs to view results, Some you have to retype your search query in, but most go straight to results page.

Im not sure of the security side to it though, As do all our search query's go to the developers site, so you can see what were searching for? Having an option to alow this yes or no, would be handy. Also by the sounds of it, its always connected to the developers database, for the lists to be automatically updated, Having an option to do this manually, would also be good.

I would like to hear about the security side of this addon, but apart from that, its good at what it does, plenty of stock sites to choose from, no more loading sites up 1 by 1 and searching, when you can have them all searched in 1 go. I like the sound of that. I think this addon has great potential and alot could be done with this. Looking forward to future updates.
Great work guys, keep up the hard work.
Thanks.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.0).

Thanks for the review :)

The site does record searches, as I also run a couple of sites and tools for stock photographers to identify areas in which photographs are in-demand. The data is completely anonymous, I store only the search terms and the sites against which they are searched. I take security and privacy very seriously (one of my other addons uses the firefox password store so gave me a lot of practice in making sure data is used safely).
