Fundamental Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I do not know how anyone can live without this; it makes learning possible for those who cannot retain without emphasis. Love it. Wish it could remember highlights between sessions and provide the user with a control dialog of stored data.

Issues:
Sometimes remove this highlight does not work.
Cannot get copy all highlights to do anything.

Good and very useful idea, but sometimes highlighting does not work.

Does not work with Firefox 7 as of Nov 2011.

It's really great, I like TextMarker very much.
However, since I use "Search for text when start typing" option in Firefox, it's impossible for me to use "use keyboard shortcut" (using M, B N key) in TextMarker - which is a very great option.
Therefore I would suggest TextMarker to give user the option to customize their own keys. (as for me I prefer F1, F2 key).
Generally, a great add-on.

if you select the text from the right to the left and press the keyboard shortcut, nothing happens :(

Just What I Needed Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This may be redundant to the other reviews, but I found this add-on simple and just what I wanted: a website text highlighter. Thank you Mr. Shareef.

Nice and neat, but as others (may of) have said, it needs :-
1/ Saving
2/ Rotate colour should only rotate previously highlighted text

The best text marking or highlighting tool. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is a fantastic highlighting tool that allows you to highlight in three different colors and copy all the highlighted text once you've finished reading. It even provides you with a URL at the bottom of the text you paste. Furthermore, the developer keeps it updated and is in tune with suggestions from users. Thanks for creating such a helpful add-on!

Very good extension for the multiply highlight/copy/paste, but paste sort order is bad, should be in this form:

(Source URL: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/textmarker/)

Textmarker! is a text higlighter and text copying tool
With this extension you can highlight important text
Select text to highlight with the mouse

Super Cool Addon. I have tried some of the other alternatives and some don't work as they claim on the latest browser versions. However this one works like a charm.

For those of you interested in a similar add-on that works with 3.6.* try YOOPER. It works.

Does a good job and beats the competition Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Works well with Firefox v3.6.2 after the maxVersion is changed. The only alternatives I found here, Highlighter v0.1.4 and Highlights v0.9.7.2, do not work with this more recent version of Firefox. So a great add-on!!! Thanks Simon :) ... and I hope you update it so those not geeky enough to fix the maxVersion can also enjoy it. Add a 'Donation' button and I'll happily chip in to help compensate you for your time.

There's an undocumented feature for highlighting all occurrences of test searched for on a webpage with Find, which is an added bonus.

Great. Just does exactly what's needed. Pages or paragraphs of text with highlights can be saved perfectly with the UnMHT extension, including the highlights.

Worksbut does NOT save the highlighted text together with the HTML file. You would need to save the complete clutter folder (meaning the webfolder) too, otherwise the highlight-CSS is missing.
So how about adding the style informations directly to the tag (as like ) ??

ok Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It works. Have to enable keyboard shortcuts in the options, and for some reason, all 3 colors are set the same to start with.

The one thing I'd like to see that it does not do is save hilites permanently. The only extensions I can find that claim to do this all require external logins/sharing junk that I don't want to mess with.

For research purposes, I need to be able to hilite sections of webpages and then SAVE those hilites. Currently I can only do that if I convert the page to PDF or DOC, which brings in its own set of problems as well as being very cumbersome (to the point of uselessnes).

Some Bugs Rated 4 out of 5 stars

1. It doesn't copy all the highlights ... when the text highlighted is separated by an un-highlighted text.

2. It copies some machine code/html syntax when pasting

Suggestion:
1. The source at the bottom of the copy should be customizable through options ... I mean on/off for source info.

Simple and Wonderful! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I really like this add-on! I especially appreciate the ability to use keyboard shortcuts (the letters M, N, or B) to highlight text using different colors. All other add-ons that I tried did not have the same ease of use that this simple program boasts. Cheers to the developer!
