This is a nice little tool that lets you get more involved in the firefox development process. Not many user surveys are conducted now, but still cool nonetheless that it exists.
Was a nicely integrated way of doing user surveys, and disseminating the results, while it was still being employed by Mozilla. I don't think there's any point in installing this extension anymore – while there has been no official announcement of discontinuation, the last study seems to have been conducted almost 3 years ago (while they used to take place fairly regularly), and the official channels have been dormant since then.
this is just too good
good.. just what i wanted.. thank you
This extension broke 'document.loadOverlay()'.
Currently I'm developing my own extension and I use 'document.loadOverlay()' to load my XUL in runtime (it is a restartless extension).
The problem I found is that the function loadOverlay() often failed if I passed the second argument (the observer) to it.
And I get an NS_ERR_FAILURE exception.
The exception won't be thrown if:
1) Disable this extension, or
2) Pass null as the second parameter to 'loadOverlay()'.
So I think it should be a bug introduced by Test Pilot. And I hope the author can help to fix it. (I check the reviews and it seems Test Pilot also broke other extensions, maybe caused by 'loadOverlay()'.
Thank you very much!
Seems to be breaking my RoomyToolbar addon? Could be wrong.
Yeah firefox is my main browser, cant go wrong.so test pilot is a great way for me to give back to firefox community.
I wish my comments will help :D
It's a good idea for get feedbacks.
Helps improve Firefox for everyone.
We should all get on board and submit input; Microsoft would not even think of listening to us "nobody's".
But Mozilla does!
That's another (of about a thousand) reasons why I love Firefox!
Nicely gathers data on use of Firefox, but when it comes to sending the data, I get a connect failure to Mozilla servers. Test Pilot then automatically reminds (annoys) me later to send the data. Wazzup?
I'm glad I can say "Thank you!" to Firefox team in such useful way.
i saw that firefox needed some support data and i said we whatever i can do to help this add on is the way you can help firefox
Hallo Fox users in wideworld. You must give your a litle time to give support or feedback to the Mozilla Firefox teams as they support you with the browser without you loose any more money. Tell them how the browser and its parts like the "add-ons" you have used it to surf online whether its good or no, that's the way to make Firefox become more successfull to help you know everything in the world. Join the 'Pilot Test' please!, not only use Firefox without give feedback. OK, Fox team I would like to take your survey as much as I can to give feedback for better Fox forward.
Mozilla Firefox 10, 11 versions of forced underestimate the speed of data transmission. This can be seen in the screenshot http://www.speedtest.net/result/1822913913.png
Speed Upload - 11,49 Mb\s Very low
The old version of Firefox Setup 3.6.27 works well, without understating the speed, screenshot
Speed Upload - 70,13 Mb\s Very Good
Mozilla is still a browser that does not sck, unlike the dumb IE and Crome. Lets keep up the spirit.
Please make a workaround for Bug 640158, thanks.
Interesting way to give feedback, but why does the extension waste 4 MB in log files in my Firefox profile?
Test Pilot log files take 2 places among the largest 3 files in the profile...
The first time I was really aware that I had this plugin installed was this morning when it ruined my browsing experience by popping up window which would not go away, saying it wanted to be upgraded. It sat right in the bottom-right corner, making it impossible to chat to anyone, and for a bonus it also seemed to slow the browser to a crawl. No response to either the x to close it, or the 'Upgrade' button. So I removed it and restarted.
Hi Oolong, thanks for your feedback. I am very sorrty if it bothers you while browsing. Actully, we just released a new version TP 1.2 yesterday to fix that problem, and it will not take the bottom right corner on any Firefox versions. Please let me know if this new update will solve your problem, and also, its performance should be a lot better.
Thank you again for your feedback, we'd like to make it work for you.
A great option to send Mozilla direct feedback.
Awesome and useful. It is a great way to obtain information about the user experience under the user's agreement. I love helping Firefox and Mozilla using it. Let's make the web more open :)
First 'test' involves putting crap (appears to be recent history or closed tabs) on my 'new tab' page. TP said I could get rid of it if I wanted to, but it refuses to go away. I disabled TP, but the crap on the new tab page is still there. As is the freezing, which is new. I've tried posting bug reports, but bugzilla is about as user-hostile as it's possible to be.
