Apparently there are some bugs here, under certain conditions. I am an Ubuntu/FF user and I tried it for a bit and Myspace worked fine for me and still does, no probs at all. It's a little too heavy and too glitzy for my taste so I just removed it. No trauma at all.
Maybe it's an unfortunate combination of extensions thats causing the Myspace issues for some folks? I don't know but obviously the problem is not occurring in every case.
I'm using Lucid Lynx with FF 3.6.8 w/noscript installed. I clear my cache and cookies often and $HOME permissions are set to 750.
The only reason I removed it was it seemed to bog things down a small amount but no worse than letting WOT block sites versus warn.
I'm giving it a 3 for concept and effort.
Myspace media player & 3rd party cookies
Dear Disastrophe & Coffeebert,
In testing, we have found that running with 3rd party cookies blocked will stop MySpace Media Player from functioning. Can you check if you have 'Block 3rd Party Cookies' checked in the Advanced Cookie Settings of the Opt-out & Block tab of Abine? You can also check in the privacy tab of firefox options, its a checkbox labeled "Accept 3rd party cookies."
If this is checked can you try unchecking it so you will be allowing 3rd party cookies and try reloading a myspace page with the media player on it and let us know if it's still broken.
