- by The Voice Inside Your Head, 19 days agoRated 5 out of 5Good, but I'd also add a {FOREVER} feature so that the locked tab remains on the browser forever, even when exiting and then opening a new browser. Also add a {STAY PUT} feature where if the locked tab gets reloaded, it remains locked! Thanks
- by Maurice del Prado, 19 days agoRated 4 out of 5Just discovered this add-on as I needed this function and wondered - hmm - is there an add-on for this? And yes, there was. Thank you, Asukaze. Some feedback:
(1) the icon is hard to see on dark background theme in Firefox
(2) when I lock a tab, the lock icon is not persistent - i'd like the lock icon to persist so I remember it is locked - by tezcatlipoca527, 5 months agoRated 5 out of 5概ね非常に満足なのですが、唯一、一番右に来るタブだけ(最後に開かれるタブ)ロック設定しても、Firefoxを再起動するとロックが外れてしまうのが残念ポイント。

works like a charm.
thanks a lot, good Sir
edit:
i wish i could pin "new tab" also - by seeley, 10 months agoRated 2 out of 5How does this work in preventing the accidental deletion of a tab? Thanks.
- by atimholt, a year agoRated 5 out of 5Makes your browser behave exactly how browsers should have been behaving since tabs were invented. It is going to be *SO FREAKING NICE* to not have to middle-click every single freaking link on the entire freaking internet.
But, given that this just brings the world into sanity, it's really annoying to get that padlock emoji in my tab titles. It serves literally no purpose; it's like Homer's “everything's okay” alarm. - by senta bees, a year agoRated 5 out of 5

- by EagleXK, a year agoRated 1 out of 5It forgots the "locked" setting very soon, even before browser restart. After browser restart it always forgots the locked state.
- by wtfs, a year agoRated 2 out of 5this extension need a shortcut having to move mouse each time to click the icon is too much of a pain and inefficient.

- by Firefox user 15119030, 2 years agoRated 1 out of 5I wanted an app to really lock my tab, I still can close it with the X or with CTRL+W. I wanna protect it from accident closing...

- by Firefox user 12708511, 2 years agoRated 5 out of 5Outstanding, does what you expect and even allows for in-page frame links which is essential for many web-based apps.
(updated) Would like to have a shortcut key to toggle temporarily it off on some sites. For example- in Amazon product question\answers, the links will not open to a new page. A key click combination would be perfect i.e. Ctrl-Click. - by Eddie J Carswell II, 2 years agoRated 4 out of 5
- by Firefox user 14796506, 2 years agoRated 3 out of 5I don't see a menu option for Lock Tab with 66.0.3 on Ubuntu 18.04.2. However, the Auto-lock feature is working, and that's what I really needed. So, meets my needs, but not so great in general. I would love to see an option for "Links open in a new Window" rather than just a new tab.
- by miguelk, 2 years agoRated 1 out of 5Does not work in FF66...does nothing at all but put a padlock icon on the tab...and what would even be worse if it worked is that it unlocks when you reload a tab...hope the developer can fix these issues as there is no addon out there that will protect a tab...this functionality was provided in TMP.
- by Firefox user 12154843, 2 years agoRated 2 out of 5FF60.6 ESR x64 - This addon is a nice attempt to mimick the Lock Tab feature from the old Tab Mix Plus extension, but it's sadly not persistent. When you open FF or reload a page, the lock goes away. Btw, the Protect Tab option would be good to have too.
- by Rob Stow, 2 years agoRated 1 out of 5Did not work for me at all. Icon remains grey always ... and the tabs I try to lock don't get locked.
- by Firefox user 12302629, 2 years agoRated 3 out of 5The add-on is good up, the markings are not preserved, it would be good if you could refine Auto Lock. As only the main domain lock and not at the same time the supdomain.
