Bug: if a special URL e.g. about:addons is open but not in front when Tab Lister 5.4.1 is used – and if the extension is set to close other tabs – then (a) the current tab is wrongly closed; (b) about:addons is brought to the front; and (c) the extension dialogue disappears, so (for example) there's no way to export the links of the tabs that were closed.
A guess: if support for special URLs can be added, then bugs such as this will not occur.
If it helps, there's support for special URLs in Export Tabs URLs – https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/export-tabs-urls-and-titles/ https://github.com/alct/export-tabs-urls
Same concern as allan999 - and glad I found his review, or I'd have been struggling for a while. I too was looking for something that would list my tabs and allow me to switch to the one of my choice. (I'm using different ones in different browsers.) A better description that made it quite clear that this is not possible with this plugin would convince me to redo my review and rating. As would that ability!
I came back to try this extension again since a good amount of time has past. It still has issues, namely how needlessly confusing the interface is. The tab list itself is well designed, aside from the usability of it, with those tiny tiny icons you need to mouse over to understand, that you might accidentally click. The "dark mode" it offers is an Orange, Green, and Tan design, horrendous but ultimately it is technically darker. My biggest issue with it is that it doesn't list the tabs that have been triggered as "Discarded" which from my point of view is still an active tab that has simply had the content unloaded from memory. Placeholder tabs exist with the proper title, it should be possible to display. It also seems to not show any of the non-HTTP/HTTPS URLs, like about:config, or about:sessionrestore. Also regarding the UI, how is a new user supposed to know what the difference is between "Captured Windows" and "Saved Windows"? Are one set the bad guy windows, and the other the princess windows? Clarifying that would go a long way, I know it was that way years ago when I first tried.
Maybe you could describe what you expected to happen? It almost sounds like what you expected is that after the list of tabs got generated, clicking one of those links would switch windows if necessary & then switch to that tab. Seems feasible, maybe useful. A lot more useful than a vague 1 star review with no details.
