This feature should be available by default in Firefox.

super Teil, besonders das Verschieben zwischen Fenstern; also noch nützlicher als das Feature im Konqueor

Would be good to have a drag facility - drag tabs to the taskbar. Also would be good to be able to make windows into tabs.

It's useful, at least until FF 3.1 comes out, where this functionality will be built in.

To the guy below me, EthansDad, that's because Tab Mix Plus already does this, that is why it won't work with it, lol. IF YOU HAVE TAB MIX PLUS, IT ALREADY HAS THIS FEATURE, OMG. Its because of people like you that mess up the rating of other stuff. Learn to use what you have before making comments on something you don't even need.

Doesn't work with Tab Mix Plus. TMP won't even let it load. Not much use as a standalone dohicky.

Does what is says. Not as good as Chrome's drag to new window, but better than nothing.

Sentient Paradox- sorry, what you write simply does not work. While dragging a tab between *existing* windows works "out of the box", FF3 *does not* have a built in option to *move* a tab to a *new* window in one action (tested on Linux, OSX and Vista).

Works exactly as expected. I've been looking for this feature for a long time.

I don't know what 'Sentient Paradox' is referring to below, but in FF 3.0.5 on the mac it is impossible to drag tabs to new/different windows. This extension fixes that lack.

Unneeded add on Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I hate to break it to everyone so enamored with this extension, but this adds no functionality to Firefox that isn't already there, plus FF's feature does NOT lose the history.

Did you know you can simply drag and drop a tab from one window to another, and all of it's history stays with it? Even if your windows are on top of each other, simply drag the tab to the other FF tab in your task bar and it will automaitcally open the other window. Drop the tab in that window wherever you want it, and all back buttons and history are still there. Simple.

What do we need this for?

useful when you use a lot of tab and you want to separate them at some point.

It's really cool that you can open the window using the copy to new window function. Then go back to the original page and click Ctrl + N and it will open that window and keep your page history

Should be built-in! A great addon! conflicts. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is certainly a must-have add-on.
Finally we can be organized while browsing.

The deal-breaker is it won't work with Tab Mix Plus - another must-have add-on. TMP won't move a tab to an existing window. Dragging tabs to another windows is terribly awkward, and once it hardlocked my computer.

Please get together and fix this!

Being able to move a tab to a new window is wonderful, I don't know why its not part of FireFox to begin with. As icing on the cake, you can move a tab to an existing window too! Very nice for organizing your windows and tabs, sure beats cut/paste of URL's!

I've pretty much always had the problem with separating tabs to windows. Now I can do it so much easier. :D

This is one of those things that I've been wanting for just about as long as I've been running firefox, and am somewhat surprised it isn't built in functionality. Nice work, and thanks for it.

This. Is. Great. Thanks a lot.

As for Mateusz Czapliński's issue/question (I hope he reads this), you can try using an extension called Menu Editor to move the menu option around menus as you please. Only shortcoming is that you can't actually have the option in the tab context menu and in the file menu at the same time, but you can move it to the file menu or any other menu if you want.
