Garbage, low quality useless stuff.

The addon would be better if could actually implement this better functionality:

http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/4386/dualview.jpg (a proper secondary tab bar! for the 2nd panel split)

screenshot explains all. Splitting more than twice is almost never done, though its a nice added novelty, but the actual workflow and tab logic on it is completely illogical and could be improved. Try Maxthon 2/3 for a better tab splitting demonstration.

Was wondering why it hasn't been working & see that the site now reads that it's no longer supported. Presumably it failed a a couple of FX updates prior to 3.0.9.

This extension disables the "Always show the tab bar" option, even when the browser is not split.

WhoeverIam 3000 is right. The Support site was definitely cracked; however, the extension should still work. I can't get it to though. I wish I could because it does look like very useful.

not very good Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Better off just opening another window of FF and tiling it vertically. That way you have full functionality of each instance of the browser.

Strange Support Website Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Its support website is now showing some statements that it was hacked by someone....

Tab Splitter seems to be a kind of trojan. For example it causes at least 10k of data transmission to don't know where at every web login.

This one of the best concepts in firefox add-ons, and would be amazingly useful. However, this version is jerky and cumbersome. I'd suggest a simple system whereby shift-clicking another tab compares it to the one in focus, and splits the window. Then both areas just behave like normal, with the only controls being a scroller bar. All main controls at the top of the window apply to the dominant tab that's been split.

Firefox will not start...

Compatability Not Included Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I think that this would be a wonderful add-on if it behaved like a second Firefox window. Currently the Splitter window has no support for any options in my add-ons. Sxipper for my passwords, Tab Kit for smart tabs, and even copy plain-text is not allowed. Sorry, but this needs a serious revamp to be useful to me. I'd like to see full add-on support with dual Firefox windows in one, not just a poor excuse for a browser tacked on to a sidebar.

Not exactly what I was looking for. i was expecting it to to split the window from the tab bar so i can keep all extensions working on both sides ( depending on what half is focused).

I really hope you can make it work with FF 2, please!

Slightly flawed Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This extension has little respect for the setting, "Always show the tab bar"

I would like to make
"opening the splitter" an option, not an obligation. It will be better if you include a toggle button so users can turn on and off the splitter mode as they wish. The last thing, is it possible to make the content of website rearranged as the size of either the main or the split browser change (means no horizontal scroll bar)? It will be neater for net surfer, I guess.

Nice Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great tool I need to use something like this a lot. Only thing I would like to see is the ability to search for certain words on both pages instead of just the main browser
