When I test Tab Count Button alongside three comparable extensions, the other three show one count whilst Tab Count Button shows a different count.
For example, at the time of writing:
- 467 tabs open, according to comparable extensions
- 469 open, according to Tab Count Button.
(Maybe an extensions conflict? I wonder whether Tab Count Button will become consistent if I remove one or two (not all three) of the comparable extensions. Just a thought, I don't plan to retest, for now I'll disable this extension.)
Developer responseposted 2 years agoI just submitted a new version with a fix where it wasn't counting tab removals.
However, the total count should be correct - all I do is query the tabs API for all tabs and report the length of the returned result.
Seems inefficient, but there's no other way to do it, sadly.
Should take into account all windows, IIRC.
