Not working any more on OS X... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is a great add-on because Firefox does not bring such a simple function by its own.
However, since Firefox 20 the add-on does not work any more on OS X. When will the add-on be updated to work again?

Works Great Rated 5 out of 5 stars

When Toggle Private Browsing stopped working with FF20, I tried this and it works perfectly with one click. As long as the search bar is grey, you know you are in private browsing mode. One quick click takes it back to normal browsing. Thanks for this handy tool.

Very handy.. One request :) Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Version 2.1 works pretty well with FF 21 :) Thanks
My request: could a right click on the icon open a new window directly in PB mode? Thanks

Goodbye TPB Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It is good to have a working- and better- private browsing toggler.

Side note: I suppose if anyone wants to shrink the icon they could go into the add-on file and edit it themselves.

better then "toggle private browsing" this button switches its image to show you if your in private browsing or not and will restore your non private browsing history when you toggle it off. both of those basic functions are missing from the other addon.

This addon works great! I also like that it removes the "(Private Browsing)" text from the title bar which i never liked. For some strange reason, the day i started using it, it was showing the icon with the "X" only which was what i didn't like very much. (I am using firefox 5 beta 5). But suddenly this problem seemed to have been resolved on its own the same day without any special action or troubleshooting on my part! It could been a browser restart as far as i can remember. And now, it shows a separate icon while browsing in the private mode which is a perfectly desirable behavior.

Now works great Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Well as a few of my add-ons have been updated recently I have noticed that the problem with the icon not changing seems to have gone. I am not sure which add-on was responsible but it is now working exactly as it says it does so a five star rating is deserved for a simple but useful add-on that adds the one thing missing from toggle private browsing.

bug #1 Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Hi MorpheusUK,

I use the add-on without problems going to private mode and back. As I only have tested the addon in my own computer I suppose there is something different that causes the bug to appear. I'm using 4.0 english version (EN-US), so maybe it's a problem related to languages. I'll try to install english-UK. Thanks for your feedback.

Not reviewed by Mozilla yet, so I looked through the source code. It's tiny, straight forward, and not doing anything sneaky.

I would like the icon to toggle, and more intuitive icons (greyed-out mask for when PB mode is off, vivid colored mask with on).
