Useful but would be better if it had a third option to temporarily allow popups. I have been using YesPopups which does allow this. However it has not been updated in some time so I am trying this one out. I will update this review with 5 stars if it gets this option. Thanks.

Can you add option, that allow pop-up whenever you click "browse" on a website (for uploading images for ex.).
Every time I have to disable addon or with several clicks add it to exceptions.

Awsome Addon. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Blocks junk pop-ups like a boss!

I have used it before and this really as per its name "Strict Pop-up Blocker", blocks everything. But then, it also blocks sometime download popup or some website that require to open their result in new tab.
I will give it ★★★★ stars.

It was a very good add-on some time ago, but now fails constantly in some webpages. It would need a mayor update to return to his former good shape. Not recommended now.

This user has a previous review of this add-on.

for me it works perfectly

This piece of sh*t doesn't work at all. Rated 1 out of 5 stars

110% fail. Not only does it NOT block pup-ups it has it's OWN popups that popup telling you that it just blocked a popup immediately after letting three popups in a row slip by. So I removed it from my system, I'm now using adblock plus with the popup extension.

It does not work! All pop up are up, as without it. Useless. That's why I very rarely use Firefox!!! Chrom is the Law.

Needs a notification on disabled pop-up Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I was puzzling as to why I am unable to upload an image to Twitter. Tried first disabling my other security tools completely forgetting I have Strict Pop-up Blocker installed, which was the culprit in this case.

It works perfectly.

Please make the addon also toggle dom.popup_maximum from 20 to 0, some popups are able to open even with the dom.popup_allowed_events cleared but when dom.popup_maximum is set to 0 also not a single popup is able to open. Modified main.js that toggles both: http://pastebin.com/kyXXxGtw

Two words: Well done! There are many sites which have irritating pop ups (the ones which open up when you click anywhere). Would be really great if you could implement a whitelist feature. Keep it simple and sweet.

It works perfectly Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is really a godsend since Adblock Plus and Adguard don't block most popup ads.

YHANK YOU Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Some really aggressive sites pop up a ton of spammy sites, even with adblock enabled. This has saved me.

Well Done Nikos, your plugin is awesome.

Does its job, buuut... Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It literally blocks EVERYTHING. I have to disable it to upload anything to any website I go to, and I'm not sure whether or not I want to uninstall it. It is indeed quite troublesome, and rather annoying at that. So whether or not you can handle the annoyance of disabling anytime you want to add a small picture to facebook, then that is your call.

It Works, and easy to toggle to disable it on some site, especially if you wanna upload something.

Works, but breaks file upload buttons in Firefox Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Works, but breaks file upload buttons in Firefox which is also a pop-up.

I first thought my Firefox was broken, so took a clean profile, did a Refresh and lost all my addons and settings. Still had the same problem, then disabling addons and finally it was this addon.

Much better than... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Much better than the old "Yes popups" add-on. Strict Pop-up Blocker is much faster and doesn't have a "weird" problem with some sites. Only wish you could toogle allow/block for individual sites via Strict Pop-up Blocker's icon.
