Hey, why Linux is not supported? :(
It's really great to have such a simple add on in my computer. Especially as an add-on for firebox. Really recommend it !!!
I am happy with this add-on. I needed something to get me up and moving. If I am in the middle of something, I just put it on pause.
I gave this Add-On a look out of curiosity and found out a double benefit: it helps me when I work at my computer and also helps me to feel more agile and better in general.
I see the point of the app but opening a new window and jumping to it when you are in the middle of working on something is absolutely infuriating. Not for me, sorry.
What a great add-on. The videos are absolutely perfect in every way! There is a lot of research showing how bad continuous sitting is for your health, and this is the solution. My only tweak is that I'd like to be able to set it for every 20 minutes. (I'm a nerd/engineer). My wife also needs a way to use this on her iMac with Safari.
I keep complaining, because I really love to use it when I am running on Windows.
It still does not seem to work on Linux (Fedora14-16 tested) at all.
Unfortunately the fixed location in the add-on bar is becoming obsolete with FF>10, as that it is not really used for much stuff nowadays. Hence it becomes difficult to find the config menu, which is not linked from the add-on page as for other plug-ins.
Excellent program. Works very well
StretchClock has it all- it's funny, healthy, relaxing, easy to use, and does all the mundane stuff for you! I spend hours at my desk on the computer each day. StretchClock let's me know every hour "it's time to get up and stretch" and I feel better every time. I have enjoyed using it so much, that everyone on my team has started using it, too. And it's nice to see that Elwood Blues has found work demonstrating the stretches!
I suffer from back ache and when I found this handy addon and started using it I was amazed at how much better I feel. I set it to go off every hour which reminds me to get up and not only strech which helps with my back it also takes my eyes off the screen so it is good for not getting VDU eye problems.
Great feature is that you can pause the timer, which is handy when I go into meetings.
I used to sit at my desk for hours just working. Installing StretchClock has really made me aware of hom much time is passing. Taking a one minute break to stretch each hour gives me a chance to refresh and keep from being a lump. :) More stretches would be better but I think the list of stretches has been slowly growing.
1-There is no option button the only way to configure is by status bar buttons.
2-The stretch instructions could be simple diagrams shown to user not youtube videos which needs a fast connection
Really like the reminder to move. 2 requests however: 1) It comes on so much louder than the volume I have my computer set to, that it irritates coworkers. Can you fix this so it isn't so loud? 2) Need a bit more variety. After going thru all the different moves, some repeating more often than others, could really use some different stretches to rotate in there.
Otherwise, it's very clear, takes just the right amount of time, has really nice visuals, is very clear. great tool - just needs a little tweaking to be perfect. Thanks!
This is very well done. It doesn't take very long. I always feel better when I stop and do it. It gets 4 stars only because the developer hasn't come up with a way to keep me from stopping it when it comes up in the middle of a thought.
Having a gadget remind me to stretch at regular intervals is great for my posture and muscle fatigue. I like that the user can choose the time span.
I would like a few more stretches, though, and I would like them to be mixed up more, or maybe done in rotation according to when I click in. I find that I get a few stretches over and over and others rarely.
I have fibromyalgia and need to stretch often, and this program makes me do it regularly. I love it, even though sometimes you want it to go away, but it is really good, I highly recommend this to all computer users
Love these reminders to stretch. And they take just the right amount of time, under a minute. They really help me to relax.
It would be great except for the fact that it takes up a lot of room in the add-ons bar and can't be moved.
Really, really good. Only problem is I want to be where he is and not at my desk!
Exceptional tool!!! The variety of exercises prevents boredom. The ability to vary intervals is useful when one feels unusually stiff. I even run it when I'm at my computer but not on the Internet!
i knew i spend a great deal of time at the computer--it's my job. but i never realised that i spend literally hours sitting before it without a break. this addon has forced me to be conscious of the amount of time i'm sedentary. what's more, the exercises are very helpful in loosening and developing the muscles that ought to be loosened and developed for the purpose. i like the fact that the program intrudes on what i'm doing, but a number of times the voice suddenly speaking in the silence of my house shocked the hell out of me, especially on those occasions when i'm away from the machine and this male voice suddenly begins speaking. loudly. you may want to consider preceding the voice with an alarm of some sort--a bell, maybe. keep the intrusiveness, but give us a bit of a warning. also, some exercises seem to repeat more often than others. other than those minor points, a much needed add-on. thanks.
My job requires me to sit at the computer all day long. Sometimes, I lose track of time and find myself in a world of hurt by doing absolutely nothing physically. I'm sure a lot of you know what I mean. The StretchClock add-on is making a difference in my day, every day. Thanks guys!
I have got quite obsessed with computers..sitting on it for a long long long time, but stretchclock's wonderful videos are making me normal human again. Thank you Shane for develping such nice videos..but i'd love to see more variety..i see some of them repeating again n again, but overall the Add on is a Must on..in my opinion.
I have carpal tunnel and this is a GREAT help! Love it!
I think that everyone who uses a pc should get the add on.
