SmartVideo For YouTube 0.973 Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Don't bother installing Stop YouTube Autoplay no longer works with the new updated Youtube layout for Firefox v18 but I have found another Firefox add-on that does same thing called 'SmartVideo' by Ashish and go to preference then tick the "Save Bandwidth" box and now all the Youtube videos will stop auto playing until you are ready to press play button. Enjoy! This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.

This is a great addon, helping to stop google executives forced intrusion and disregard towards it's customers wish, to view content when they decide to, instead of the content activating itself regardless of OPTIONS set in browser and system, i.e. in background tabs or on multiple tabs at once, causing unnecessary hassle and stress.
I hope the autor can again fix the new youtube changes, that seem to bypass browser preferences set by users - BUT imo this should be a serious concern for MOZILLA, when content providers hijack their browser scripts and preferences and they should fix it, instead of leaving users rely on volontair extenstion programmers, who have less resources and man power to react quickly to the constant breaches of privacy and settings.
To the idiots who don't bother reading Rated 4 out of 5 stars
The writer of this says that because of YouTube's changes, it stopped functioning, but he is diligently working to get the functionality back. So, instead of giving it a one star rating because you were too busy to bother to read the description, try being patient.

Poor. It just doesn't work.
If you wanna be a nice guy then fix it. I'd like to use it by February, it was such a nice addon
So it's that time again... Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Doesn't work at all because YouTube fucked up again (see description of the addon). Hence three stars which I'll revise after it works again.ATM, I've deactivated the addon until there's a working version (current v.1.0.3 doesn't).
@Anysia (see 3d post above): Agreed, but maybe the author should also write an answer to a post now and then. The remark about YT having fucked up again is not really prominent and thus prone to be missed.
wtf , how bout updating , not working at all ! Rated 1 out of 5 stars
is this dead or what
Youtube keeps changing--stay with this addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This has been a great addon. We all know that Youtube has its annoying quirks, one of them being autoplay. If you are like me and like to open several tabs with different YT videos, this addon has been a great thing to have as it prevents YT from autoplay. Unfortunately, YT is at it again, changing its site. The developer says that he is aware of the problem and is working on an update to address this change. Be patient and wait for it. There is nothing else out there that does what this does. For me, it is indispensable. This user has a previous review of this add-on.
The creator says v1.0.3 NO LONGER WORKs, so read before YOU review! Rated 3 out of 5 stars
If People would only READ what the CREATOR of THiS ADD-ON - "Nicola Kovacs", says just above this reviewers area, then User's would see that this add-on no longer works, because YouTube has stopped using Flash and changed to HTML5.
Why do YOU want to waste your own time writing an essentially "useless review"?
Better to WAiT until Nicola Kovacs can create a version of the add-on (if that's possible) that DOES WORK with HTML5.
Ratings: a big fat Zero (0) stars to the time wasting reviewers and 3 out of 5 stars (neither good, nor bad) to the add-ons creator.
Stop YouTube Autoplay doesn't work with Ffx 17.0.1 Rated 2 out of 5 stars
I see that my post was deleted and guess it must be due to having included a url for a YouTube video page, so I won't repeat the whole post from memory and will just say that the add-on isn't working with Flash videos at YouTube. I right-clicked on the video to see if HTML5 is listed anywhere in it and it isn't. It seems to be a Flash video sort of menu, just that I think that it also has more options than what I've normally seen when right-clicking on YouTube videos. Maybe not. Perhaps I'm just not recalling the menu entirely enough.Anyway, the add-on isn't working with these videos and I'm presently using Firefox 17.0.1.And until the problem is corrected I'll give the add-on 2 stars, though have been using it for a long time now and it formerly always worked for me. I might be mistaken but think that YouTube should stop "messing around" with the videos. It and other video Web sites should also stop auto-playing of videos, for it should be entirely up to users when to start playing these. Unfortunately, the providers seem to be of a different opinion; but the concept is very simple and these providers surely wouldn't appreciate it if their radios, TVs, computers, cars, electrical tools, et cetera, began to auto-play just because they're present. It's not a novel idea that users be required to turn these things on themselves. And empowering users also isn't a novel idea, either. It's usually essential in software engineering or development and surely also is in engineering fields in general.

Doesn't work ... Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Even the "fixed" 1.0.3. does absolutely nothing.
Flashblock for example works fine with flash content, but disables the ability to maximise the player for example.
Suckage Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Non funziona per niente, schifo totale.
It doesn't work at all, totally sucking.
Good one Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Doesnt require restart. Does not try to sell you anything. Good autoplay stopper.
1.0.3: Still Not There Yet Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Unfortunately 1.0.3 sporadically fails. I intentionally avoided 'rarely' because it seems to miss about 30% of the videos.
Updates come out and these developers are expected to adapt instantly. I have a life outside of Firefox, I imagine they do too.
Thank you for all your hard work. I'm still happy using this app.
