I can wholeheartedly recommend this for anyone that doesn't give a damn about whitelisting, which doesn't work at all, or is okay with manually skipping everything on every other channel as a compromise. The error message relating to the problem claims the problem is an ad-blocker, which is not true, because even with absolutely everything else disabled, this thing still can't retrieve the channel ID. The url included in the error message offers a supposed workaround that's already noted as "not needed since [version such and such]", and did nothing to help (which is not surprising considering the ad-blocker isn't the source of the problem to begin with). The only "solution" I could find to this problem (only mentioned in a response to a 3-star review here?) that I haven't tried is making a new browser profile, and the reason I won't either is because one single malfunctioning add-on is not worth the hassle of reinstalling all my add-ons and redoing my settings all over again, especially since there's no guarantee that it'll fix the problem either. I tried the add-on on a different device and the results were the exact same.

P.S. Since the option is completely reliant on the same channel ID-check that fails to work and just passes every skip/skip-prompt trigger until the ID has been checked, turning on Force Channel Check Before Skipping makes every feature besides the color-coding of different segments in the timeline break.

This should be fixed in the latest version. It should now ask for permission to make requests on the youtube.com domain if the channel ID request fails.

EDIT: Sorry, I mean in the next version (2.0.14)

Can you make a GitHub issue with more information? I can't help you if you just say it isn't working.

This is not an advertisement blocker. This skips sections of videos that contain paid promotion. These are reported by other users, so could be missing.

Your review lowered the rating to 4.8 so it's now not the top rated extension :(

What?? I think you got the wrong addon. This does not do any of this. Look through your addons to make sure you don't have any adware installed.
